The staff was friendly and accommodating. The hotel is in a great location, close to Ocean Drive, but far enough from the main strip. Our room was fine, nothing special. Our main complaint is that the air conditioning in our room was loud and woke us up several times at night. In addition, the daily service fee for beach chairs and beach towels was an unexpected expense. This fee was waived because they weren’t able to give us another room (wanted to switch due to the loud AC) in the building. |

Very nice decor and ambience, clean and spacious rooms, helpful front desk to give advice on restaurants and nightlife. Great location - 2 streets from beach and they reserve beach chairs and umbrellas for you. Would for sure stay there again - stayed in Miami 3 times and by far the best hotel yet. |

The Astor came so highly recommended that we were really looking forward to our stay there. However, we were a little disappointed with the quality of the room - bed not totally comfortable, room not as newly renovated as promised...and the service was definitely not up to snuff. Housekeeping did not clean the room until 5:30 each day (generally when we were already back in the room trying to relax/get ready for dinner), and the front desk even sent us up to our room before it had been cleaned upon our arrival. The location is good although Washington St. itself is a little dicey (but it was nice being in the middle of the South Beach strip). Not sure I would stay there again. |

The Astor hotel was in a great spot right on the corner of 10th and Washington. Walking distance to the beach, the strip, and tons of resturants and bars. There's a convenience store across the street as well to pick up water, beer, and snacks. Included in the resort fee (for us was $10 a day) was breakfast, towels, and lounge chairs and an umbrella at the beach - which was incredible since 2 chairs and an umbrella goes for $32! We ate breakfast at the hotel both mornings and were pleased with the food, the prices were very high, but you're in Miami, that's expected. Minor issues with our room that we lived with were the hot water faucet in the sink would not turn on. And our room was in a stairwell and therefore internet connectivity was limited. Other than that we REALLY enjoyed our stay! |
