Great spot for the price! The front desk alway had a smile and welcoming attitude--very helpful and friendly. Rooms were small-ish but very cool decor and very comfortable bed.

Definitely recommend. Great location, beautiful pool, tasty food (south beach did not have the selection and variety I assumed it would - Hotel restaurant/cafe/room service was reliable and delicious).

If you are paying more than $350/night, then keep looking.

Exceeded expectations.

The Raleigh is one of the older hotels on Collins and not particularly huge. However, it is beautifully furnished and decorated (lobby, rooms, patio, pool area and beach). Very attentive staff and excellent service. Relatively small room but again, very comfortable, high quality furniture, bedding, TV, iPod station etc. Bathroom modern and beautifully tiled. Pool is gorgeous and lounge chairs, beds and cabanas very chic and comfortable. One reason we picked this hotel is the beach access. They provide beach chairs and umbrellas, but charge $15 per day for the umbrella which I understand is common (we actually ended up NOT being charged). The stay at The Raleigh was our honeymoon (married in Key West) and we received champagne and choc-covered strawberries in the room as well as vouchers for complimentary continental breakfast every morning. Well worth our money. Would definitely stay there again.

This hotel was great! Unlike many of the other renovated hotels, the Raleigh has also managed to maintain its orignal character. It's so easy to be white and minimalist. The pool has to be one of the most beautiful in the world. You can still imagine Esther Williams or Clark Gable lounging there. Only today, its mostly a chic European clientele. Service was exellent and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Best location in town directly on the beach. Free use of bikes was also a nice touch. If you haven't visited Miami in awhile, along Ocean Drive is no longer the place to be. The area near the Raleigh is now the best. Walking distance to Lincoln Road with its many restaurants and people watching is also a bonus.

We loved The Raleigh and thought the historic art deco style of the hotels and rooms was really nice. As well as a giving a feeling of being transported back to the 1940's the rooms had all modern amenities including plasma tv, dvd player, iPod docking station, a second great stereo system, air conditioning and power shower. The room wasn't the biggest we have ever stayed in but there is ample storage space and even walk-in wardrobe so you never feel like your stuff is everywhere and you feel 'claustrophobic'. There is a sitting area too which is great for your laptop (free wireless in hotel) and the turndown service is fab as they light candles for you and bring fresh bottled water. The bathroom is quite small but extremely clean, like it is brand new, so the size didn't bother us at all and the shower was extremely poweful.

We had stayed here once before and for the second time again The Raleigh lived up to its expectations. Through Skoosh we were able to score a great deal on a holiday weekend nonetheless. If you're looking for somewhat trendy but sophisticated, classy, fun, and a clean room and good service then this is your place. Have fun!!!
