Great value in Munich-Schwabing

Breakfast is when you suddenly realize what a good deal you are getting at the Munich Holiday Inn. The buffet seems to stretch to the horizon. I've never seen a greater variety in a German hotel, and it was included in the room price. There is a large and tasteful lobby with its own bar and tea service. There is a small restaurant and a beer pub for late-nights. There is even a swimming pool and sauna. The rooms are very clean and large enough, functional though no one would call them spectacular. The beds are cozy, with the usual Bavarian feather-blankets and an actual "pillow-menu," on which you select the kind and number of pillows you want. Cleanliness, functionality and value are the words for describing this hotel. You can spend less, but you will get less. You can spend a lot more and not get more.
