The hotel location is excellent as it has the beach on one side and golf course on the other. For the past 20 years I've stayed in hotels throughout the world, roughly 100 nights a year. Here's my perspective on the Naples Beach Hotel. The hotel is comprised of several building, all built at varying times; I was unfortunately assigned, they called it an upgrade, to unit 6 of the oldest 2 story building. The room appeared old, worn and outdated, with an antiquated chiller type AC system which left the room always feeling damp. No heat! For televisions (2) my laptop offers a bigger screen! Housekeeping standards are poor, the sheets on both beds (small twins) weren't changed, trust me, it was obvious. You do receive a newspaper every morning at 5am, you'll know, as it's thrown against the door. We were already up though, as my wife was awoken by a palmetto bug "FL cockroach " crawling across her head. Resteraunt is adequate, though a better choice is to go downtown. Pool area is clean, but appears oudated by most standards. Suggest trying one of the newer buildings, as rooms have been updated. There are other beach hotel choices and for not much more I believe you'll find considerably better value.
