Gulfcoast Inn Naples

The Inn was in a dood location and easy to find (big plus for me) . The front desk staff were very good.. Our big complaint was the bar staff, they have a great bar and the food looked Ok (did not eat there) the Staff were terrible.The Bed was unconfortable but the room was old fashion but nice

The hotel has a very nice pool for kids, and complimentary breakfast with tast/bagels and self-made waffles. No fruit, though. Customers are a mix of seniors, filling the pool-bar in the afternoons and evenings (after-golf?), and families using the pool-area. Quiet and laid-back place. Rooms are large but not excellent in standards. For some strange reason, the hotel charges 2,16 USD per day for using the safe . . . .

The hotel was very nice, clean and comfortable. The room was very large and quiet. We recommend it to others!!! It was very good value for the price paided!!!!!

On the outside the grounds look like an average motel but the rooms were very clean, staff was friendly and pool area pleasant and well kept-up. Overall I was surprised at how nice it was for the price.

In summary, this is a hotel which offers good value for the money in the Naples area. Initial room had a leaking toilet but we were given a better room after attempts to fix it failed. Customer service is good and somewhat laid back, but always helpful.

More specifically...

Harolds Place is a really funky and fun chickee hut bar & grill with reasonably priced drinks and food. Hamburgers here are excellent. Sweetheart female bartenders work there (Christine and Sue come to mind) as well as "good guy " male bartenders. My wife and I loved the eclectic mix of Naples locals, Europeans and out of town Americans (like ourselves) who frequented this place. Not to be forgotten are the 2 additional Japanese restuarants on site. We had Sushi at Club Sushi which was delicious but we unable to get a reservation which worked for us at the Fujiyama hibachi steakhouse (which we were told was very good). Another dining option which is within walking distance is Andre's steakhouse. The steak here is sooooo good it rivals, if not beats, Ruth Chris, Mortons, etc. Pricey, but excellent.

Pool area and interior grounds are beautiful and with the amazing 80 degree weather we had during our stay (Christmas to New Years) could not have asked for a
better week. Very comfortable and relaxing.

We've stayed at hotels ranging from the Four Seasons to Motel 6 so we have a good feel for whats out there. This is not the place to go if your looking for a Ritz Carlton like experience, but if your looking for good quality at a good price, very good food and drink (again at a good price), friendly and helpful staff and a great bunch of diverse guests this is a great place to stay in Naples !
