I would recommend only if you prefer staying in Naples. What a fabulous view!!,,however, it was smoggy and dirty in Naples, so glad we were at the hotel far above it. Staf is superb. Attention to your every need.

No particular noise from the outside area, but walls were very thin. baby crying in the next room could be heard very well, although ear plugs worked for that.
very dirty outside the hotel, but clean and neat inside. Rooms were small but ok for a short stay. Nice and friendly staff.

I would recommend it.

The only problem we encountered was that the breakfast food finished early and they did not replace it so there was not much left when we went to eat.

Definitely. Good Value for money. Very good Service. Even it's located 15 min walk from Garibaldi Square and about 7 min walk to the nearest public transport, there is a Shutle Bus from and to Airport every 1,5hrs, and a Shutle Bus into and from City Centre.
There is a restaurant on the premises, which we didn't use as we found the prices a bit high for Napoli, there are 2 excellent restaurant nearby (one is only across, at 10 metres from the hotel, and one is at about 300 metres away across the square in the centre where hotel is located).
And the best is the hotel has large, very comfortable rooms, and a Sauna & Gim Room (a small one). While away from City Centre, the great positive thing is that is very quiet when you want to rest, away from noisy trafic!!!

I had a meeting at the Royal Continental Hotel in Naples and found that the Skoosh rate was cheaper than the conference rate - first happy point!

When I checked in I was upgraded to a superior, sea-front room - second happy point!

The room was clean and comfortable, with a great view; the hotel is well-positioned (a twelve minute walk from the final stop of the Alibus from the airport) - third happy point!

The hotel staff members were helpful (I needed an iron to neaten crumpled shirts) and friendly (helpful tips for getting around Naples) - fourth happy point!

Four happy points: recommended!

The hotel is an old Palazzo - so has an interesting entrance and lots of character once inside. Via Chiaia is a quiet shopping street (15-20 minute walk) from the crowded centro storico - which was perfect for us. It also meant you could easily explore the city to the west easily - Piazza Amadeo etc.

The hotel is also walkable from the port (which we did in 10-15 mins) which meant we didn't have to negotiate taxis when we arrived from Capri.

The only slight complaint was that the air con in the room was noisy, but it's a very old building so probably to be expected.

Overall, friendly and helpful staff and a good hotel in a centrally placed, but not chaotic area of Naples. Oh, and it had a good breakfast included in the price.

We were pleasantly surprised by the Millennium Hotel. The hotel and accommodations were extremely clean and the staff was attentive. The neighborhood around the hotel was rather dingy, but if you are planning to stay here for a night either because you have a late flight in or an early flight out, this is a great place to stay. We were a little apprehensive about staying here because we have read other reviews about stuff getting stolen from the rooms, however there are safes in the rooms, and we make it a habit of storing all of our valuables (laptops, ipods, etc) in the safe as soon as we check in, no matter where we're staying.

The cab fare to the Naples Airport is 13 Euro, there is no shuttle offered by the hotel. Be sure to verify this with the driver before you get in!

I would definitely recommend this hotel to others, as it provided good value for money. Other previous guests seem to have had difficulty in finding the hotel gate - this was not something that I had a problem with, approaching from the south, the gate is quite obvious, on the left side of the road. The hotel facilities are excellent for the rating of the hotel. The staff were helpful in directing me to local restaurants and shops - though there are none on-site, there are plenty in the immediate vicinity. The hotel is a reasonable distance from where the bus from the airport ('Alibus') stops - those with large suitcases would be best off taking a taxi from the airport to the hotel as the public transport links would leave a walk of around 15-20 minutes.

How did I find the Piazza Bellini? Well, that was the main problem, i almost didn't find it at all. Hidden behind big (closed) double wooden doors, with just a tiny sign above a buzzer, we walked past it many frustrating times before someone pointed us in the right direction. Once inside we were impressed. Ultra modern furnishings, nice breakfast, and best of all, free internet (why don't more hotels do this?). Close to the Metro and across the road from a pizza place with the same name - where we ate delicious and cheap pizza.

Renovation is finished and the rooms are all very decent. Only little shower water (room 206), but that was no problem in room 316. Hotel is located at the busiest square of Naples which causes some traffic noise pollution but that was not a bother to us. Has its charm, that chaotic Italian bustle. Extensive breakfast. Ideal location for public transport. The historic centre (dome) and the shopping mall are at walking distance (about 1,5 and 2 km) but you can also get there by public transport or taxi. Neighbourhood is not so good (drifters, litter) but if you use common sense this does not bother you.

Naples is very beautiful in origin, but now it's messy and dirty. In the restaurant you are, despite the good food, treated badly: sometimes a long wait and a rude/uninterested approach. The surrounding area is fantastic: Pompeii, Vesuvius, the Amalfi coast and Capri, everything within easy reach by public transport. The hotel "Ideal" is simple but very good.

Location in the centre of the city
If you are having a meeting in the confrence centre at the Ferry Terminal,then it is very near
Breakfast pretty good
I did not think the personnel at the reception desk were very well trained for a hotel with 4 star rating. Their information regarding the city and surroundings,if you want to see anything around, were not very helpful

The hotel's tagline "3-star hotel in a 5-star area" is very appropriate. The location is very great, practically right on the water. All of the hotels nearby are much more expensive. The room was clean, with a small private bathroom. The breakfast consisted of cereal, yogurt and packaged pastries - not bad. The front staff does not speak great English, especially the night staff. All in all, it was a good value, considering everything else in Santa Lucia area is twice as much. As Americans, it was more than we were used to paying for what we got, but that's Italy. We would recommend the Rex Hotel to people who want to stay in Santa Lucia and don't want to break the bank.

For friendly, safe, value for money, no frills accomodation, you need look no further than the San Pietro. Ok, so the room decor is not top notch but they are quiet, comfortable and air-conditioned. The breakfast isnt much to write home about (make sure you get down early!), but everything else is more than adequate considering the alternatives in the vicinity of P.Garribaldi. We have always found the staff friendly and very helpful. Parking space immediately outside the hotel is a huge bonus for us.

The hotel is pretty basic and the rooms on the side of the road are quite nosy. We were unable to sleep at night. We managed to move to another room, though the ceilings were about 1.8 m high. The breakfast is quite basic. That said, the staff was generally helpful.
