The Royal Sonesta, and example of doing it right.

We stayed for 5 nights at the Royal Sonesta, and never heard any sounds from the adjoining rooms. The cooling system was quite and very consistent with the settings. The bathrooms were immaculate and well stocked. Service was on par with the best hotels in the world. Jazz bar on the first floor and a restaurant which was equal to, if not better with some dishes than anything in the French Quarter. In summary, a first class hotel, that makes you feel like a genius for having the foresight to book it. Cabs from the Airport are only $33.00/ per two people. It's about a half hour drive. Maybe one of the best cab values in North America.

Outstanding stay at the Royal Sonesta, New Orleans. Hotel staff was excellent and the room gorgeous. Exceeded out expectations, and a must-stay in the French Quarter.

Great place for Mardi Gras

We stayed here for Mardi Gras and it is a great location. the rooms were on the back side so it was quiet at night. Although the rooms are not large, they are good size. The hotel had great service and lots of amenities. Parking on site was probably the easiest I've seen in New Orleans and I've been several times. Beautiful courtyard also.
