the hotel staff was very nice. the rooms were extremely clean, but small...this is normal for NYC. Third ave and 50th is a very busy corner...there is a very active firehouse on the next block_hence a lot of sirens. the continental breakfast is a bit meager for the charge of $14.95 per. save your money for the 24 hour a day breakfast place just steps away on east 50th. the location is the best part. from there you can walk to a lot of attractions, and even cab rides are cheaper because the cabs use 2nd and 3rd aves to go up or downtown...these are much less traveled than, say broadway. We went to the East Village: st. Marks Place and 2nd ave for just $10 each way! Tip your cabbie $2 for a ride like that!

It's really a good place to stay if you don't like to spend time on commuting.

The Hotel is great as a base for visiting New York. The location in Midtown East is handy for everything.

The only disappointment was the kitchen our suite which was in need for some updating. Otherwise the accomodation was fabulous.

Best of all, though, the staff were outstanding - especially the various individuals on the concierge desk who were helpful to a fault!

Can't commment on the food as we didn't eat in at all.

Very handy place to stay. Staff extremely helpful. Large room. Air conditioning extremely noisy and when switched off the outside conditioners were just as noisy unfortunately.
Would recommend it as a good place to stay.
