I highly recommend this place if you're going to New York for the first time or even if you're just looking for a centrally located hotel for a great price. The hotel staff was really helpful with any questions I had, and this hotel is only a few blocks from all the action! The rooms aren't as small as I was expecting and were able to accommodate me and my friends very well. I also recommend the hotel bar if you're looking for a relaxing place to have a few drinks. The bar staff was really friendly and the atmosphere was great. All in all I plan on staying here every time I visit NY. Thanks again Amsterdam Court!

I would definitely recommend this hotel to others. We were upgraded because they didn't have a non smoking room. Great view and pretty spacious for NYC. The only thing that dissapointed us was how loud the showers were in the morning. You could hear the pipes and they were really loud. Great value for our money. And our expectations were absolutely met!!

Stay here if you want to be close to broadway theaters and rockafeller center but know that you are paying for location and not luxury.

I knew the room was going to be small but I didn't care because I was only looking for a place to sleep. However, I was unhappy to find out that the room's heating system was old (water radiators) and that cold wind blew in from the window. This made for a mighty drafty room and I would definitely not recommend this place to anyone in the winter. In addition, the hot water ran out quickly so I couldn't even get a nice hot shower. The staff was friendly and everything else was good enough so it would probably be an alright place to stay during the less chilly months. Another plus is that they offer to keep your bags after you check out so you don't have to lug around your stuff if you still have more sightseeing to do. You can come back and get your bags later.

The hotel was windy and cold, broke heater when they told me to turn the metal heater knob to make the room warmer. staff was nice, room was clean, bed comfy.

I would recommend it to others. It is small. You are better off getting the queen bed and having more space. The value was good.. The front desk people were great and helpful. The internet connection was helpful as well. we did not get maid service between our first and second day.

The desk prople were lovely and they had a room available early. We were in our room by 10:30 AM. It was small, it had some heat problems, but..it was clean, it was close and ir was really reasonable. If you plan to sleep it the room for only 6-8 hours as we did you can not find a much better deal for the location.

The best thing about this is the location. You walk out the door and you're at Radio City Music Hall and Times Square. The rooms are very small which is the standard for NY city. It was clean and comfortable which was all that we needed.
