Would recommend this hotel, the rooms are small but very clean! free wifi and tv and good value for money.

The staff were very helpfull and i would stay there again

I would recommend the Mansfield Hotel because the service was good and the location excellent. The room was small as was reported but clean. It was a good value for my money. The bathroom mirror caught me by surprise because it is small. However, my expectations from what I read about the hotel were met. Thanks for booking me.

Ok - let me start with the staff first of all....EXTREMELY honest staff and it needs to be highlighted. I lost a valuable necklace (which I noticed after I had checked out) and when I called the hotel, they had managed to find it and have it shipped back to me in Switzerland. For that alone the hotel deserves 5 stars.

In terms of the bedrooms, we had a room at the back of the hotel (overlooking a tiny alley) so it was really quiet (great!) but there was no/limited natural light and the room lights were poor (had to turn on every light in the place just to see properly). We asked for a bath tub (which we got) but it was so shallow, it seemed more like a foot spa :)

Having said that, fantastic location and wonderful staff made it a thumbs up for us

We would recommend this hotel to others. It was really close to Broadway (in between 5th and 6th), the staff was friendly, professional and helpful and the room was clean and freshly painted (although kind of small). There was a small mini-bar fridge but it wasn't cold. We like to buy water and stick it in the fridge. There was a window unit AC but it would've been nice to have central air or a window. There was a small window in the bathroom. All in all it was very nice and perfect for the two of us. It was kind of expensive, but in NYC...all the hotels are, right?

As soon as my husband and I walked thru the doors into the lobby, my husband says, "How much did we pay for this!!" The lobby is beautiful. It has an old world feel in the bustling NYC. The staff were excellent. We were each given a bottled water when we were checking in and then we were shown to our room. It is NYC, so spaces are smaller. The room was small compared to other chains, but it was perfect for our needs. Its an old building, so there are a/c units in each room. After reading other reviews before going, I agree that there is poor lighting in the room, but the bathroom lighting was fine. Again, its an old building! The bed was comfortable and I slept better than my husband! Great value for the money! Great location too!

Loved the hotel. The staff was friendly and location quite good. My only problem is that the room was quite small. That would have been fine if there had been adequate storage for our two suit cases. We ended up putting them on the floor because the only closet was was very small and we could not hang up our garmet bag because the mini bar was in the bottom of the closet. This ate into the little floor space we had around the bed.

Good value for the price paid. Walking distance to MoMA, Grand Central Station (good eats in food court), library, etc. Have to catch a taxi to Metro Museum and other sights unless you are young and can walk far and long. Our only disappointment was that the room was tiny and lighting too dim for reading but had old New York character.

I spend a nice moment in this Hotel wich is really well situated!! The only Black point was the Airconditioning, it was making such a noise!! For the reste I would recommend this Hotel.

The location was a couple of blocks from Grand Central and Times Square was within walking distance. The rooms were small but very nicely furnished and comfortable. Touches such as complementary shoe shine, umbrella in the closet, Aveda products, and complementary 24/7 coffee bar were appreciated. Although their hotel amenities listed in their own book in each room references "complementary continental breakfast," this was not so. The staff was extremely friendly and offered bottle water. Their front entrance had stairs without any handicap entrance, so guest must be able to carry their luggage unless there was a staff member out front who was more than willing to help.

We would recommend the Mansfield to others. With the deal we found on the room it was great value for the money spent. All expectations were met.
