I don't think it would be my first choice, but it would be a good standby if I didn't book a place in advance or if my other choices were taken. The view was fabulous, and I did feel like I had gotten the special treatment when I had gotten a room at the end which was a corner room having one of the best views of the city overlooking all of Queens. Unfortunately, the room was smoking. I debated on switching rooms but stayed because of the view. I think it was a decent value. I

The restaurants in the area were great. It would be nice if they had a coffee pot in the room. Service at the hotel was great.

The room at the Plaza was fine, and the hotel didn't charge for a rollaway bed for my kid. But despite the fact that it was a non-smoking floor, a smoker had clearly been in the room - and had been in the room after it was made up, as evidenced by used towels and soap in the bathroom. More challenging was the fact that the Internet connection in the room didn't function, which took much time and effort to ascertain with the service's tech support.

Would not recommend. Check in and check out was very inefficient and time consuming.Reception staff not friendly and SLOW! Asked for corner room. Told would cost $50. Asked for city view. Got river view. Asked to change rooms. Told would check for next night. Never called. Never got free newspaper. No coffemaker in room. Found out on last day you have to call housekeeping to send one up. Bell service and doorman was friendly and efficient. Room and bathroom was nice, clean and spacious. View was spectacular!Bed was not too comfortable with a thin blanket and there were no extra blankets or pillows in closet. Internet didn't work and staff doesn't admit it. Got charged $12.95 a day anyway. Paid $10.20 to use their computer to print boarding passes. Amenities and service lacking. Not quite a 4 star hotel. Location a little out of the way.

Compared to other new york hotels that are similarly priced, this hotel is exceptional. The place is clean; the staff, competent; the rooms, nice; and the experience, good.

The hotel was beautiful, but there were a few things I was disappointed with, such as:

1. I put in a reservation for two beds non- smoking, and I recieved a one bed smoking room.
2. I was given a coffee machine, but each night I had to request coffee and and cups.

Overall, I felt safe. The doormen were very attentive, and the concierge was very helpful.

Stayed at the Millennium UN Plaza between 24/3 and 28/3. Found the hotel very impressive and professional and also very friendly and helpful. Our room was on the 32nd floor and made our holiday with superb views. I could see the Empire State building from my bed when I woke each morning which was amazing. Swimming pool on the 27th floor is also an experience. Bar prices are high but there are plenty of bars on 2nd just around the corner. The Manchester Pub a few blocks uptown on 2nd is well worth a visit. Didn't eat at the hotel - we had breakfast every day at John's on the corner of 44th and 2nd. Fantastic service and food in an authentic NYC diner. All in all a great hotel in a great location in a great city.

The property was beautiful and the staff was polite and helpful. The only thing that was lacking was a refrigerator in the room.
