Room service is available 24 hours a day. Recreational amenities include a health club, a fitness facility, and a steam room. Spa amenities include spa services, massage/treatment rooms, facials, and body treatments. This 4. 5 star property has a business center and offers small meeting rooms, secretarial services, and limo/town car service. Complimentary wireless Internet access is available in public areas. This New York property has event space consisting of a conference center, banquet facilities, conference/meeting rooms, and a ballroom. The hotel will undergo extensive renovation from 21/08/2012. The Gilt restaurant will close on 15/12/2012, and the Madison Room Bar will continue operations in the Villard Mansion between 16/12/2012 and 27/12/2012. Istana will close on 28/12/2012 and breakfast, lunch and dinner will be moved to the Madison Room. Large scale renovation of the lobby will begin on 02/01/2013 and continue until approximately 01/09/2013. A temporary reception will operate and scaffolding will be erected outside the property Guest rooms in the Towers and will also take place until approximately 01/05/2013

1 of 1 people found the following review helpful — Gorgeous old world style NYC hotel with elegant appointments and discreet service. But we were very disappointed there was not a pool or reciprocal arrangement nearby for access to one. Also, THEY NEED A COFFEE MAKER IN THE ROOM.

WE loved the NYC Palace

We loved the Palace & would definitely recommend it to others. We felt we rec'd a good price for the hotel and our expectations were met. Only complaint was we didn't receive turn down service one night and were charged for 3 nights of parking instead of 2 b/c we left a couple hours after the required time.

We loved the Palace

My expectations were met since I've stayed here several times before. If I had to pick something apart, they've drastically reduced the "Executive Lounge" so that's certainly not as much of a selling point as it's been in the past. Everyone is extremely polite and knowledeable. One drawback is that because the hotel is so big, the lobby can get very chaotic at times with so many people, which is not a relaxing experince, but still a good value for the money.

Beautiful Hotel individual rooms have dramatically different views!

The guest rooms and common areas are gorgeous. We traveled with a Brother and Sister-in-law. I made the reservation for each of our rooms at the same time, both guest rooms with one King size bed, the same price. They allowed us an early check-in (about 1pm). Our valet showed us to our rooms and one room had a jaw dropping view of St. Patrick's Cathedral the other room (on the same floor) had a shockingly horrible view of the ugly water tanks on the roof directly opposite our one and only window. You couldn't even see down to the street! We did not complain or ask for another room. Having traveled to NYC multiple times we knew even though we would be in there for 4 days the time spent actually in our room would be a small percentage. The staff was very personable and kind.

Great Hotel great staff fab location

simply terrific. grand old hotel yet up to date. they don't build them like this anymore! Great value. Easy walk to shopping and theatre district.
