Review Pan American

Good value for New York

Convenient equally for JFK airport and the subway to Manhattan and the rest of the network, yet good value for NY. Exceeded expectations on that basis. Seemed to be a quiet, safe neighborhood. Would recommend on that basis alone. Room clean and quiet. Didn't try the restaurant, but it seemed popular enough.

I would recommend this to others as it is in a quiet part of Queens (away from the hectic streets of Central Manhattan) and is a 10-15 minute walk away from the PATH (Subway) which will take you anywhere within 30 minutes and runs regularly. The location is also next to some traditional American diners which is rare to find in Manhattan.
The variety of TV channels, the fridge and ice machines on every floor were little bonusses, the downside is that FREE WIFI is only available in the lobby, not available in the guest rooms (unless you pay for it).
Excellent value for money, I was not disappointed and I would stay here again!

yes I would recommend it to others, The ease of airport shuttle bus arriving to pick us up was about 3 minutes. Close to public transport, although rooms are tired, extremely clean and everything worked. The Hotel exceeded our expectations and we found that it was exceptional value for money.

I did not like the area that we were staying in at all. It was a long way from Manhatten although the subway is close to walk to it is still 35-45 minutes to get anywhere of interest. Yes there were 2 shopping malls nearby but I did not like either and did not like anything nearby. The hotel itself was fine, our oom was OK, we were supposed ot have a queen or king bed but it ended up being 2 very small double beds. WIFI is available but only in the lobby which was very cold to sit in of a night ot use the WIFI. We went downstairs to the bar one night to have a drink and the waitress (an elderly lady) was very abrupt and quite rude to us and she then overcharged us when the account arrived, we did not enjoy our time atthebar.Thecomplimentarytransferfromtheairportwasagodsendonthenightwearrived.

While this hotel is showing it's age, it's still a great place to stay in NYC. With free airport transfers, old but large clean rooms, close to the subway and close to a couple of cheap diners and a steak house it's great.

It's about 30 mins by subway from Manhattan but that's a small price to party given that it's so much cheaper than downtown. You can also take the bus from across the street right to downtown.

If your happy to walk 2 blocks to catch the subway and stay in Queens, then this is ideal.

Oh, and free internet as well.

I was showing my friends NYC, and this was a very convenient location. All the hotels in Manhattan are way too expensive and we are just college students. The hotel was very nice and clean, they have a great restaurant and the staff were very nice.

I would recommend everyone to stay there. It is about 30 minutes away from the city and you can take a train or bus..although the bus would take longer.

It was a good size room and the furniture was nice.

I plan on staying there whenever I am in New York.

Thank you Skoosh..your price was better than all the other websites, and I searched ALOT!

Ok for one night stay. The reception let us checked -in one hour earlier, so that's good.
There is no microwave nor fridge..dissappointment!
I'll say the price is fair for a hotel close to downtown.

I would reccomend it.....as long as you don't mind hopping on the subway this hotel is just fine. It's not in a bad area, the staff was friendly and kind, and the room was clean. Everything was a bit older, redone in maybe the late 90's, but that shouldn't stop you. We paid 110 dollars total for the room, and thats dirt cheap for anything around NYC.
