Heater in our first room took 20 minutes to start warming up the room. We got switched to a second room, but the controls of the heaters were near the ceiling so stepping on a chair was necessary in order to adjust the temperature. When the heater was working the air became stale possibly because of the dust collected on top of the ventilators... |

The best thing about the Best Western in Newport is that I booked it through Skoosh. I overheard a gentleman checking in the same time as me and he used a discount card which cost him $20 more than my rate. The only issue I had was that I booked a room with either a queen or king size bed and they attempted to give me a room with two doubles. Luckily when I immediately called down to the desk as soon as I saw the room, they switched me into the last king size room. I guess my expectations of a Best Western were met, it was acceptable and a decent value. |

We booked the hotel because it was the least expensive hotel that still had some amenities. It would be extremely overpriced almost anywhere but Newport or New York City. We were happy with the decision, although next time we might look into B&Bs that are walking distance from the water. |

Rather an out-of-town hotel, which needed specific driving directions. But it was worth 2 nights for short trips. Good food, and plenty of it. |

Use of a car was essential -- and Newport is difficult for parking. |
