Stay at Michael's most New Years Eve's. It is in walking distance to everything that we need. It is ole an tired but fine for 1 night. They are currently in the process of refurbishing.
Front desk staff not the most pleasant, but as I said for 1 night don't really care. Would most likely not stay for a weekend.
It's what we expect for the money we pay for New Years Eve.

Stayed there for New Years. Would be probably the 5th year doing this with Family and friends for new years but have been going to this hotel for probably 15 years. Very Disappointing, staff at reception were terrible, probably the worse service I have ever received, paid the extra through skoosh to have two queen beds, when checked in they gave us two rooms ground floor where we had to walk outside to get to pool, travelling with kids and had double beds in room, did say we could have a cot at one point but there was no room for a cot. Basically said it was our problem and to notify skoosh which I did and they did give us a credit and tried to help, service was great! One thing about Michael's, was always had great service, not anymore. It is to bad having been going there for years and the location is great and would like to return. Not sure if the young girl who works the front desk is the owners kids or what, but the first thing they need to do is get rid of her! She couldn't even answer one questions and gave us different prices for upgrades then the other person at counter was crazy, she is not new as I had see the same unpleasant girl in the summer months when I stayed there. Real shame has gone down hill, reno's will not make up for the poor service. Manager basically said we got a good deal through skoosh so we shouldn't expect much. He did finally give us 2 vouchers for breakfast, there was four of us! lol but took a lot of complaining for him to do that, he did not care if we came back or not, terrible service, they should of kept the same staff who new how to treat the guests! Would not recommend to anyone.

I would recommend the hotel.
Large rooms. Needs renovation (it is in the process now of renovation).
Good value for money.
Yes, most of my expectations were met.

We have stayed several times at the Michael's Inn in the past. Knowing what this hotel was years ago we thought it would be the same. We will never stay there again. They have alot of nerve charging even $100.00 per night and then $11.30 for parking. The blow dryer in the room didn't work. The lobby was under construction and dirty. There was no clock in the room. The air conditioning didn't work right and never ever did they charge for parking. Very disappointed!!!!

The room is not that impressing but it is clean though we were very disappointed with the hotel staff especially those who are working in reception. They're supposed to be accomodating to their guest, I made a reservation w/ an extra bed for my kid and it is included on the package that Ive paid thru online reservation, they billed me for extra together with the parking fee....when I showed them the voucher saying the extra bed was included in the reservation, the receptionist told me that "it's their problem" instead I should phone in SKOOSH for that matter.

Is that how they treat their guests?

Really had a bad experience dealing with those receptionist...I wouldn't recommend this hotel with my friends...

I would definitely recommend this hotel! The staff were very pleasant. The room was very clean. The price was the excellent!
I would recommend a room with a balcony. We looked out to the parking lot in the back. My daughter and sister found the beds too hard, but I slept well.
The location is fantastic! Close to Clifton Hill and the falls. Right across the street from the Bird Kingdom!
Breakfast was also really good in the restaurant downstairs! Parking is a extra $10 per night. It was well worth the stay!
I would come back again.

The hotel has changed owners so things are changing, the parking use to be free now it is $20.00 plus tax a night. Restaurant wasn't open for dinner and only buffet for breakfast. Doesn't have the same feeling as it did before. Hopefully new owners do some long needed reno's. Will probably keep eye open for a new place, Have been going there for years. Still had a great time for New Years and would still recommend this place as the price is good for what you get unless with the new owners start to jack up prices....

I would recommend Michael's Inn only if you are not concerned so much with the appereance of a hotel. This hotel is not in the best of shape, but the rooms seem to be clean. It does need a LOT of updating. I think it was a bit overpriced. The ice machines rarely worked. The front desk people is very cold, my deposit was held for like two days (and counting, not sure if that is standard in all Canadian Hotels, so far that's been my biggest complain and the fact that the hot tub was dirty and full of sand, not sure why all the sand. They have parking available, free to all guests which is really nice, specially in Niagara Falls were you are expected to pay $20 for parking pretty much everywhere. Will I stay again? Probably, but I would rather look somewhere else first.
