Oakes Hotel Overlooking Falls (Fallside Rooms)

Booked this hotel for 1 night for self, partner and son for a brief visit to the Falls.

However, although the location was good (almost on top of the Canadian Falls and away from the frankly down-market centre of Niagara Falls), the visit left us somewhat disappointed given the price.

1. Room was Fallside only. In other words (in our case) on the 5th floor, insufficiently high up to give a good view of the Falls themselves. If you stay here book a FallsVIEW room. My fault on this one;

2. Aircon in room not working efficiently despite the noisy fan;

3. General rundown, not too clean decor in room;

4. Fitness facility - I've got more equipment at home!

Overall not great value for money, and we were pleased that we hadn't booked to stay longer.

Muy buen hotel. Pero chequen bien el tipo de habitación que les ofrecen al momento de reservar. Nosotros tuvimos que pagar extra money por la habitación que tuvimos.
No hay restaurante dentro del hotel.
Po lo demás muy bien la habitación.

For the first time visit Niagara Falls, this is the hotel for you. Fallview room can see the falls directly, you can enjoy the falls from your room (fallview room).

I stayed fifth floor, the fallview was very clear.

I am very happy to state Oakes.

The hotel is cleaned and well maintained. The location is great near the Falls though you need to stay at upper floors to really see the falls. For a 4 star hotel though I would have to point out two issues:
- the rooms are small especially the bathroom
-there is no internet connection in the room.There is a complimentary wireless in the lobby but it did not work during my stay
Overall I was happy given the fact that I payed a discounted price and I will stay again there provided that the price is again competitive

yes we would gladly reccomend this hotel even though we only had a standard room the view was spectacular . we would love to come back to this hotel and get a suite . if the standard rooms were this nice we are sure we will love the suites! my husband thought for the price it would be a low quality hotel he was floored when he saw the location and the room . the only thing that was a little disappointing was there were no closets in our room outside of that we had agreat stay the staff were very friendly and proffessional
