The hotel is situated at the end of the Quai des Etats Unis just below the Castle Hill and a couple of minutes walk from the old town with it's fashionable restaurants and cafes and the famous flower market. This is a beautiful property , in excellent condition throughout , located in the city centre offering perfect quiet and the atmosphere of deepest provence. This is a modern building painted in a warm yellow. The hotel is built into the Castle hill, overlooking the Baie des Anges. The lobby and reception area are on two levels. A few steps from the hotel entrance lead to a small cosy lobby woth large windows offering a magnificient view of the sea. Again a few steps lead to the small reception area. Reception and lobby are decorated in a natural soft colour scheme. The restaurant is charming and bright, it features an open fire place and offers a beautiful view of the garden terrace with it's citrus trees. In the warmer months meals are served here under the trees in total tranquility. The rooms are medium to large. They are beautifully decorated in a contemporary style using natural colours and materials of the area. The bathrooms are fully tiled with unpolished marble. These rooms offer a magnificient unrestricted sea view. Both rooms and bathrooms are in exceptional condition. 1 km to the nearest beach, 1 kms to city centre, 2 km to the nearest fair site (acropolis), 7 kms to the nearest airport (cote d'azur).

Romantic luxury hotel

We stayed in the hotel the second time. Its seaview room with a balcony from which you can overlook the bay of Nice is just so beautiful. The personnel is friendly and very helpful. We can only recommend it. It is situated next to the old city and the flower market. We will come again.

Hotel La Perouse is the place to stay in Nice

I stayed at Hotel La Perouse in Nice, France for 1 week in April 2010. We were upgraded to a deluxe sea view room, which had a fantastic view of the ocean and bay. The hotel is perfectly located in Nice, near the market, beach, and restaurants. The service at the hotel was exceptional. I will definitely stay at the Hotel La Perouse the next time I am in Nice.

Sleepless nights at La Perouse

Did not sleep for 4 days out of 5 due to constant vibration noise in room 509 from above jacuzzi. Staff would not relocate as stated all rooms full and were unable to switch off during night. (highly dangerious in the event of an electrical fire). Have written complaint waiting for a satisfactory reply. Dining area and waiting staff impressive, but would not stay again as this was not a relaxing enjoyable break, but an event that left us exhausted and unhappy.

The hotel is really well located and had the most wonderful views from the terraces (probably the best I have seen in a hotel) and all the public areas where very well appointed. But my room (the cheapest on their schedule) was pretty awful - small and dark, overlooking a dank courtyard with strong smells of cooking when the window was open. Awful value for 160 euros. The majority of rooms overlook the sea and as far as I could tell were dramatically superior. So only stay here if you take a superior room, The coffee at breakfast was bad too.

This hotel was a good value for the money overall. The room was nice and clean, breakfast was really good. the only thing that was somewhat of a disappointment is that this hotel DOES NOT have a private beach. If you want a private beach you have to go across the street, pay 14 euro per person for the full day and also pay for the umbrella or towels. Hotel Staff was very nice and helpful.
