Regence Hotel

The hotel is tucked away on a pedestrian shopping street! No indication in directions. Parking was a challenge in a neighboring hotel property. Hotel IS located in desirable pedestrian shopping area and within walking distance to Nice beach area. Room was very small, but decent.

Clean, well decorated, quiet, helpful staff, excellent position always my first choice in Nice.

Exactly what you want from a two-star hotel - impeccably clean room and bathroom (both were quite large for a two-star hotel), great location (right on shop and restaurant filled rue Massena and just a few blocks from the beach 10 minutes from the center of old town), and great customer service. It is no frills (as you would expect from a two-star hotel) but is very reasonably priced given the location and size of the room. Everyone who works there spoke at least some English and they have someone at the desk all-day. For a no frills but clean and well-situated hotel, you can't beat it.
