The facilities were really impressive. All of the little African detail in the great hall was breathtaking. Having the animals right there was also neat, but perhaps somewhat overshadowed by being in the "Magic Kingdom."
Boma was quite good, but the self-serve snack facility should be avoided.
The shuttle bus system from the Lodge could be a little slow. We enjoyed being in a hotel closer to two parks, as opposed to only having easy access (and still only bus access) to one park.

The hotel lobby and restaurant decor was very nice and the rooms are fairly large. The pool was great for the kids, as they have many lifeguards and a water slide. The lighting in the rooms is a bit dim. Maybe nobody really cares, but a woman putting on makeup will most likely be annoyed, as I was. My only real beef with the hotel is that our rooms were not ready until 3pm because they had shampooed the carpets and were waiting for the carpets to dry, and even when we did go in, the carpet was still somewhat wet and our socks would get wet. I told the front desk thay should not let guests in the room until 24 hours after the shampoo because the smell and moisture were distracting. Everything else was fine. The 3star restaurant was not as nice and fancy as touted, but certainly more than adequate. It was great to be able to see the animals from your balcony. It would be nice to be able to get closer to them on a walk through the grounds.
