Rooms and service were what you would expect from the Ritz. But , there were a few snags:
1. I was given a handicapped accessible room which was fine but the closet didn't have a bar high enough to hang trousers. 2. Parking was valet only and costs $20 per day plus tax. This is more than what I paid per day to rent a car. 3. The bill was inaccurate and included an extra day's room charge and a charge from the lounge that I did not make. (I only noticed this after returning home and Ritz accounting is still looking into these). 4. Had to wait for 15 minutes for a table for breakfast (tables were available but it looked like they were understaffed).

We had a lake view room and the views were incredible, I got some great pictures of the afternoon storms that are so frequent in orlando. The price was way below what you would expect to pay for a 5-star hotel.

The bed was extremely hard & uncomfortable. Also, it would have been great if breakfast would have been included. The hotel was fabulous, the room was average.

I have stayed at quite a few Rittz and Four Seasons, in the US and abroad, and found this up to par with the best of them. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We stayed on the Club Floor which is 14, and our view was beautiful. The food was excellent and our children were welcomed and made to feel comfortable . They was a nice selection of DVD's and IPOD'S for the children to borrow. My only complaint was there was a lot of business being conducted in the main lobby and it was very crowded both nights we were there. We bypassed this problem by using our club lounge. There was also a free shuttle available to Sea World which was nice. We had stayed for a week previously at the Contemporary in Disney and this hotel was a few hundred a night less and much nicer.

My 10 year old daughter and I had a wonderful Memorial Day weekend at the Ritz. They had an amazing amount of childrens activites planned and while it was busy it was not as crazy as some of the other hotels around. This hotel has something for everyone. I would highly recommend it to anyone and can't wait to go back.

Yes, I would definitely recommend a stay at the Ritz Carlton Orlando to others. The pool and golf course were just lovely.
I was particularly impressed with the depth of knowledge that the lobby bartender had about the spirits he was serving. What could have been improved upon was the refreshing of soggy towels at the pool. While staff came around to ask periodically if everythign was 'ok', I'd recommend they actually ask more pointed questions such as, 'would you like a fresh towel' or 'are you ok on food & drink & water?' Also, the restaurant at the pool had the best food in the hotel! The experience at Norman's was great, to be sure, but for the casual dining -- with fresh, simple and not overdone food -- the pool food was spectacular, especially the crab salad. It was a wonderful trip!
