The hotel was clean, quiet, and a good value for travelers with dogs. The staff was very welcoming and the continental breakfast offered many healthy choices along with what you would expect to be offered for a continental breakfast. The location was convenient to the highway and shopping was minutes away. It was very convenient to the University of Maine and we will stay there again for any up coming events that the University might offer. |

I would recommend this Hotel to anyone. It is close to Hogan Road in Bangor, 5 miles away via the 95. Rooms are spacious, clean, offers a continental breakfast, and home maid cookies at the front desk nightly. Best Western Black Bear is located in a very quite area of Orono. |

The Black Bear Inn was a great place to stay! We had a "Mom's Night Away" that included shopping in Bangor, Maine, which was conveniently only 5-10 minutes away. Our room was very nice, two double beds, all the amenities you need...coffee pot, ironing board, hair dryer, free wireless internet...and clean. The hotel rooms and hotel followed through with the black bear theme throughout with various prints and paintings...and even a bearskin rug on the wall in the lobby. Staff was extremely courteous and helpful. A free continental breakfast was included in our stay. It was a tiny kitchenette with several small tables but it filled the void and saved us a few dollars...providing bagels, toast, cereal, oatmeal, muffins, several juices, coffee, tea, milk....etc. |
