Great location. Just be prepared for the late night noise around the hotel. The staff was kind. The buffet breakfast ends at 9:30. At 9:31 everything is put away. Don't oversleep.

This was my third stay at Bondeheimen and I enjoyed it very much. If you can, ask for a room facing the inner courtyard as it is extremely quiet. The outside rooms are not bad either, but inside is best! The rooms are a little on the small side, but not bad for a European city, and there are great corners and tables to keep your luggage in or on. Good warm and cold breakfast and you have to love the free night time soup and bread. The staff were helpful, friendly, and knowledgable about places to see/where to eat. Clean! Ten minute walk to the railroad and a bus stop right outside. Easy walk to Karl Johan, Bryggen, Akershus, National Art Museum and National History Museum (both free!). Indian restaurant across the art museum amazing! Great value for the money compared to other hotels in this area.

A well-appointed hotel with clean and functional rooms. Always busy with travellers so the reception area is a bit small thogh this doesn't affect one too much. The restaurant is more of a cafeteria than the adverts admit though the food is ok. Breakfast is included but it is a bit of a scrum in the morning as the hotel is busy and there is steady use of the buffet until it closes. The hotel is in an excellent location for all central attractions.
