We stayed two nights at the Westin (Ottawa).
First, the staff was very polite and very dedicated. They offered us all the needed information concerning our stay (room, parking, meals, etc.). Our accomodation was perfect.
Even if it was crowed, the service was fast!
Finally, the room cost was at a reasonable level!

We had a great experience. The hotel itself is a little old, but the front desk was very helpful, helped us with the bus routes and getting around the city. Great location, we could walk to the canal, restaurants, etc. I'd definitely go back!

The location was excellent. Service was pretty good. The suite was well appointed and it was clean.
Certain expectations were not met: Some light bulbs needed changing. Wifi did not work properly. Some of the furniture was worn and needed replacing.
Otherwise we had a good stay.

The hotel is close tothe downtown core - walk to most place in less then 10 to 15 minutes. The By-Ward market is about a 15 minute walk from the hotel. Hotel is well kept and the rooms are clean. The kitchenette is a nice bonus.

The staff at the Lord Elgin were very pleasant and helpful. I asked if it would be possible to have a quiet room away from elevators, pop and ice machines, etc., and they supplied this with no trouble. The room was also very pleasant, and the hotel well-located (center of Ottawa). Would definitely recommend this hotel for visitors!

I really didn't like the way I felt you got nickeled and dimed for all of the features you wanted or needed but since I was there for business it was a great time since the rooms were very clean the bathrooms were very nice and the overall placment and color scheme of the room where amazing. I am going to suggest the hotel to all my co-workers since its in the middle of the high tech area. Its very far away from downtown (aka food choices) and while there are places to eat in Kanata very thing worth mentioning is in downtown. (I really liked Hy's). Executive summary: great hotel with a sweet parking under ground garage ( very useful in the winter since knocking off snow sucks ). Middle of high tech area but otherwise a subarbuan nightmare. Super clean and the front desk should hire nicer people.

Rooms can be VERY small ( I mean very small) up to a point that it is uncomfortable.
There is no business centre.
I would best describe it as a "deluxe tourist hotel" because, except for it's good location, the hotel is does not match business standards.

A reasonably priced hotel, easy walking distance to downtown stores,restaurants and sights. Staff was top notch, helpful right down to the pleasant and personable maintainance staff. If you are looking for a long list of ammenities stay at the Westin or Chateau, if you want a comfortable, clean place that is convenient,stay here.

Novotel was centrally located and well appointed. The beds were eminently comfortable. Parking was an extra $14.00 as it was located in a public garage. Elevator access to the hotel was out of service due to renovations. It was necessary to navigate three flights of stairs for access.
