Happy New Year at Carlton's

The hotel was very well located, with good facilities. I can imagine that the roof garden would be a real draw in the summer and even in winter the views were impressive. The staff were all very friendly and helpful, speaking a variety of languages and offering good advice for local amenities. The room and bathroom were fine although the mint green decor might not be to everybody's taste. Nevertheless the place was clean and warm and we would certainly return.

Would definitely recommend this hotel to others, is right in the middle of wonderful Monmartre, the staff are friendly and really helpful, the roof terrace gives amazing views of the city, the rooms are comfortable, and the breakfast is varied. Definitley good value for money.

I would definitely recommend this hotel. The initial help at reception was excellent. The room was quite adequate and it was very clean. Breakfast was a lot better than expected with a good choice of food. Our expectations were met. The only problem was getting from Gare du Nord to the hotel. Later we discovered that if you took the No. 54 bus from outside the front of Gare du Nord station the bus stopped directly opposite the hotel at the stop called Anvers-Sacre Coeur. Gare du Nord does have a lot of exits so look carefully for the one leading onto Rue de Dunkurque. I would not recommend trying to do this during rush hour, if you can avoid it.

Yes, I would recommend this hotel to others. The service was friendly and efficient. The rooms, though small by American standards, were comfortable, fresh, and airy with excellent views. The roof top terrace provided a wonderful vista of Paris. It's location was in an interesting neighborhood with easy access to public transportation.
We booked our rooms through Skoosh, and the price they provided for us made for a very good value.
Given my previous experiences with hotels in Paris, my expectations were actually exceeded.
