This is a 2-star hotel, considered an excellent tourist-class property. It is recommended for guests seeking a 2-star hotel in a good location. (0507IU) The hotel is situated in the north of Paris, in the Montmartre area, just a short walk away from the Lamarck Caulaincourt metro station. The hotel is close to the popular Place du Tertre and Sacre Coeur and has good public transport links, via bus or underground, to all of Paris' best tourist attractions. The hotel underwent complete renovation in 1995, and the exterior is clean and traditional in style. The lobby is small in size, but welcoming and softly lit. It leads directly into a more spacious lounge area. The rooms are small in size, but well-appointed, comfortable and in good condition. They are furnished and equipped to a good standard.

We have been informed that from November 2011 Paris hotels may charge a 2% city tax on stays exceeding €200/night directly to guests before they check out at the hotel's own discretion. Due to a lack of further official information we cannot currently confirm if this will be applied by all hotels or if it may be included in room rates. Adequate hotel friendly staff, but noisy street.

This hotel has a very good location in walking distance from Sacre CÃ¦ur and Montmartre. It's also just about 2 minutes from the Lamarck metro, which is very convenient. Just make sure you take the metro elevater up to ground level. We were met by a friendly lady at the front desk at noon. A little disapointing that our room would not be ready until 14.00, but we could leave our luggage in a luggage-room and then return. The room was small, but so are almost every room in Paris. This was not a problem for us. The room was clean and had a comfortable bed. The only thing that really lowers the score, was the noisy street outside our window. It did not get quiet until 03.30 at night. This might not be a problem though if you have a room on the opposite side of the building.

It's a bit expensive for what you get. The front desk service is acceptable, but they aren't necessarily friendly or eager to help. The rooms are very small and the hotel is a bit far from everything. It's fine if you have to stay here though.

Very good value for the price! I only paid $400 U.S. dollars for 6 nights. It is in mostly a safe neighborhood area (not in a tourist area) but it is only about 150 meters from a metro. You can be at the Lourve in 10 mins on the train. The room was clean but very small but we only really slept there. Breakfast was good enough to get you started in the morning. For the price...I'd say it would be hard to beat.
