This is a 2-star hotel, considered a superior tourist-class property. It has a good location in Paris, and retains the peaceful atmosphere of a private home. It offers excellent value. (0708PG) The hotel is close to the famous "Le Marais" district, a few minutes walk from the Republique Square. The hotel is in a small street, but in a lively area, offering many shops and restaurants. This is a traditional, 4-storey, Parisian-style hotel. The lobby is small, but open plan with a charming lounge. Recently renovated, the public areas are clean and well-decorated, and offer a welcoming atmosphere. The rooms are small, but in good condition. They are decorated in a contemporary style, and are comfortable and well-equipped. All rooms (except 4 single rooms) have a bathroom with a bath. The hotel has fitted all its rooms with ultra-modern, flat screen TV's and free WiFi (Internet) access.

We have been informed that from November 2011 Paris hotels may charge a 2% city tax on stays exceeding €200/night directly to guests before they check out at the hotel's own discretion. Due to a lack of further official information we cannot currently confirm if this will be applied by all hotels or if it may be included in room rates. Clean and nice

Hotel Mericourt is a very nice little hotel very close to 2 metrostations. The hotel is clean and nice but the rooms are very small. The bathroom was clean and newly renovated so it was white and no mould enywhere. We felt cozy there and welcome and the staff was very nice and spoke alright english. There is no airconditioning but that didn´t bother me because i don´t like it that much! :) So I can recommend this hotel to anyone who wants a clean hotel close to Metro for good price :)

The hotel was middle-of-the -road value for money.Thestaff were helpful and friendly.Everything was quite acceptable.

Mericourt Hotel - great deal and location

Definitely would recommend for a hotel that was not expensive and in a good neighborhood in Paris. Near two metro stops, so very easy to get to left bank and other areas of right bank. Can walk to Bastille and Marais. Our room was very clean and was on the corner of the building on a quiet street so we had lots of natural light and a great Parisian city-scape view. The breakfast was also great-- a whole pot of steaming coffee for two people.
