Located few steeps from the République, Opéra, the Grands Boulevards, Nord and Est railstation, this charming hotel has fully equipped and comfortable rooms for the best of your amazing days in this city. City tax: 1 euro per person and day. Must be paid directly in the hotel.

We have been informed that from November 2011 Paris hotels may charge a 2% city tax on stays exceeding €200/night directly to guests before they check out at the hotel's own discretion. Due to a lack of further official information we cannot currently confirm if this will be applied by all hotels or if it may be included in room rates. nice location. we strolled from the hotel all round the city. lots of food shops around and cafes to go out. a little bit disapponting was the neighbourhood itself with lots of Africans but it was not a problem at all. the staff was really nice and helpful. the room rather small, though (for 3 adults) but it was cleaned every day and the towels changed. I'd definitely recommend the hotel!

1 of 1 people found the following review helpful — The hotel was exactly what we were expecting. An affordable hotel , small room but clean. The staff was helpfull and kind. The breakfast was included in the price but you did not have many choices (croissants and bread with butter and jam) .Moreover the neighborhood is a little bit " strange" but nothing to worry about. There is not any reason to be afraid of , at least till midnight.Generally we are satisfied from our stay in the Garden Opera Hotel. Of course we would choice a better hotel if we could afford it but for this budget of money it was very good.

1 of 1 people found the following review helpful — This hotel exceeded my expectations. It was clean, the staff members were very helpful and it was located right near the Chateau D'eau subway stop. It was also within walking distance from the Gard du Nord train station. The hotel had a computer with internet for guest-use, a breakfast of rolls/croissants and jams, and plenty of hot water. The room had a thermostat for central air and heated up nicely. A couple things to be aware of: guests are given small packets of shampoo, but no soap; and if the front desk calls a taxi for you, the taxi driver will charge you for the time it took him/her to get to the hotel from wherever they were when they received the call. The rooms were not exceedingly large and glamorous, but simple and just what I needed.
