This is a basic, 2-star hotel, in a vibrant, tourist-friendly location. Ideal for visitors seeking very basic and low-budget accommodations in the heart of Paris. (0508IU) The hotel is ideally located, 3 minutes walk from the Place de La Republique, in a lively area with good shops, restaurants and cinemas. The Canal St. Martin and Bastille are within walking distance. Good public transport connections. This is a traditional, 6-storey, Parisian building. The lobby is small and simply decorated, in line with the style of the rooms. The rooms are small, and in moderate condition. The décor and furnishings are basic, and the atmosphere is a little bit sombre.

We have been informed that from November 2011 Paris hotels may charge a 2% city tax on stays exceeding €200/night directly to guests before they check out at the hotel's own discretion. Due to a lack of further official information we cannot currently confirm if this will be applied by all hotels or if it may be included in room rates. I think it is the worst hotel we have ever stayed in. But it is the cheapest one, so we are satisfied.

Completely acceptable for the price

1 of 1 people found the following review helpful — In Paris, at that price range, my expectations were met. Older bedding and small room, but clean. Breakfast was coffee/tea, bread and butter, but better we didn't leave hungry.
