We have been informed that from November 2011 Paris hotels may charge a 2% city tax on stays exceeding €200/night directly to guests before they check out at the hotel's own discretion. The hotel is conveniently located at Gare du Nord. Easy train access to the airport CDG. The staff was accomodating and changed our first tiny room to one a bit larger promptly after our request. Overall appearance clean but in need of refurbishment (worn carpets, torn wallpaper, tired furniture)

I got upgraded to a privelige (?) room so was delighted with my room as loads of space and a mini bar. My colleague had a small dark room with no mini bar so not so impressed. Very convenient location and I got the quiet rooms I asked for. Staff a bit useless as had no information about cheap Metro tickets or travel for tourists. Good breakfast. Upholstery in dining room very tired (holes in seat) and sink and bath rather stained but kept clean. Lots of places to eat within easy reach and no problem getting taxis at the Gare du Nord opposite.

Ideal location for the Eurostar. Opposite Gare du Nord, you can't miss it !! Very good for transport, Metro and RER etc. Travelling time into centre, Eiffel Tower etc approx 25 mins by Metro. Very close to Sacre Ceur, Montmarte, only 10 mins walk. Very good range of snack bars and restauraunts around the Gare du Nord, should you require them. However there are many homeless sleeping rough around the station,but they caused us no problem ! Hotel itself was presentable, what I expected really. Friendly staff, only downpoints were lack of tea/coffee making facilities and no mini bar in the room. Breakfast pretty basic, I got the breakfast thrown in with my room. Not worth €14.00 it would cost normally. Also hotel bar did not open at weekends !! Overall not too bad a place. An ideal base for seeing Paris.

Very good value for money, room was spotless and bathroom more than we expected in Paris. We had a room facing the street and station which we enjoyed because it was fun to watch the streetlife. Excellent location because we were coming in late from Amsterdam after a flight from the usa. very good breakfast included in the price that kept us going almost all day. Also a great location if you are using Eurostar and only staying a short time. There is a stop for the Open Bus Tour right outside which allowed us to see a lot of Paris even when the weather was a little erratic and also made it easy to get back to the hotel and still see the city. The hotel has obviously had a lot of work done and it showed. There were a few spots where they still need to finish - such as one set of stairs - but nothing to spoil our stay. Lots of places to eat nearby - not great food but does the job. I would highly recommend this hotel if you don't need to be right in the centre of Paris.

Breakdfast was excellent. Carpet and hallway walls weren't clean, but rooms was acceptable. Small hallways!
