Our room was clean, and the hotel has done some recent upgrading. The front desk and staff were very nice.
Breakfast was chaotic, the staff not being able to keep up, but the food was good, and included in the hotel's reasonable price.
AC wasn't working. The front desk did not know when it would be fixed. The hotel is on a noisy street, so opening the window was a problem. The weather cooled. We don't know when/if the AC was repaired. A tiny closet was only partially accessible because a sliding door wasn't working. The hotel didn't fix it during our four days there.
The room and bath felt smaller than a cabin on a cruise ship--not good for couples. Its near Pigalle, so the neighborhood isn't the best, but was acceptable. I'd look for a better option next time, but this would do in a pinch.

A good place to stay in Paris...

... if you want: helpful reception staff; a quiet room (ask for the upper floors at the back); Parisian al fresco restaurants (in the square); a neighbourhood far from the madding crowd; a reasonable price for a room in an expensive city.
I was particularly impressed by the willingness of the reception staff for me to use the hotel address for a book that a seller on Amazon.fr would only mail within France.
The negatives: a fair walk or a Metro ride to reach the tourist sights.
I'd stay there again.

I would recomend the hotel Paris to people who do not spend much time in their hotel. I was impressed my request for a top floor room was catered for. It was good value for money, and through skoosh got three nights stay for the price of one night on site. Thanks skoosh. It was a small room, in a seedy area of Paris. It was clean with friendly helpful staff. Not for families with kids only for people who only want a place to sleep and wash while they take in the amazing scenery of Paris.

wunderbares Wochenendhotel

Great hotel close to La Pigalle and the Metro system. Staff were very friendly and extremely helpful. Room was bigger than some previously encountered in Paris and the bathroom was spotless. Great value for money. Would definitely go back !
