This 3-star residence may be considered as first class property. This hotel is a perfect pick on the left bank, within close proximity to the St-Germain district and excellently connected thanks to the many passing metro lines. Ongoing and recent renovation efforts have succeeded in ensuring that travellers will enjoy a pleasurable stay in this unique and original Parisian family-friendly accommodation alternative. (0908FP) The hotel is located in a peaceful side street just off the lively Boulevard du Montparnasse and in the heart of this bustling district as well as the St Germain district. Metro stations are a mere minutes' walking distance from the hotel's doorstep. Guests may choose any of the following metro lines (4, 6, 12, 13) which provide direct access to several Parisian landmark destinations, such as the Eiffel tower, Notre Dame, Arc de Triomphe / Champs Elysses, the Opera and Madeleine district, as well as the Sacre Coeur! This area abounds with cinemas, restaurants, bars, and shops, opening up a wealth of dining and shopping options, as well as entertainment opportunities. The apartments are located in the renovated annexe of the main hotel building, in a charming and very peaceful private cobblestone courtyard. Several apartment units possess individual entrances. The lobby is small in size and opens up to the reception desk, beyond which lies the Residence's private courtyard. The reception area is bright due to abundant natural light flowing in through the large bay windows. The rooms and bathrooms are medium in size and in very good condition as well as air conditioned. They are tastefully decorated and furnished. Rooms feature several standard amenities and wooden floors. All rooms are soundproofed. Guests have a choice to book one bedroom apartment types and one bedroom duplex apartment types. For the duplex, the lounge space with sofa is on the ground floor and the bedroom is on the first floor. The Residence draws its particular charm from the fact that it is situated in a peaceful, cobble-stoned alley beyond the hotel's main entrance, where guests may enjoy the seating in the privacy of this backyard.

We have been informed that from November 2011 Paris hotels may charge a 2% city tax on stays exceeding €200/night directly to guests before they check out at the hotel's own discretion. Due to a lack of further official information we cannot currently confirm if this will be applied by all hotels or if it may be included in room rates. well located - unic hotel paris

very well located for eveything we wanted to do .. close to metro montparnasse lots of eating /good food and people watching opportunities in close by bars and bistros room small but comfotable and basic ...shower tiny ,, beware pregnant woman would be impossible to access friendly staff 24 hour reception breakfast sparse would like to find hotel in same area for our next trip although wouldnt rule out another vist to unic

Unic was not Unique BUT...

It was acceptable. Clean place with a decent breakfast. The showers were ridiculously small...if you dropped anything and bent over you would open the door. Slightly confusing location...the Rue de Montparnasse is a street located off of the BOULEVARD de Montparnasse. If you confuse it (as we did, because the blvd is quite large, and the Rue is quite small) the very kind people in the Indian restaurant (which is at roughly the same address on the blvd) will direct you to the hotel- it apparently happens quite frequently. All in all, it was a pleasant experience, for the price paid- 2-3 stars is a correct assessment of the hotel.

The location was very good
