When we got to the hotel, we found out that one room was for smoking. We had made arrangements almost 6 months previous. How could they not have a non smoking for us? We had reserved two rooms. How could one not be considered for our needs? Well, when it was realized how far in advance we made reservations, another room was found for us after telling us there were no other rooms.....all were filled. So, it was as if a lie was told at first. Besides that, we asked for a king bed, but couldn't have it due to the problem. Oh, and we had to stay in a separate building from the other party we had come with. |

I called in advance to arrange an early (noon) checkin. "No problem!" was the answer. Presenting myself at the front desk at 12:30, I was greeted by two hostile stares--no "hello," just hostile stares. In good humor I said, "you look surprised!" One starer replied, "check in is at 4, no rooms are clean." Once she bothered to check the computer, she saw I did indeed have a clean room arranged for me, and turned on the "welcome" charm. Unfortunately, the internet was down, and was down for most of the entire week that I stayed there. Each front desk agent I spoke with seemed completely unaware there had been any problem the day before. The wireless connection was too slow for any business traveler. Hallways smelled like body odor, and ventilation was poor. How is this a three-star hotel? Impossible. This was a disaster. Consider staying elsewhere. |

For the money it was a great value. Close enough to walk to downtown Portsmouth. Located right off the I-95- next to New Hampshire Alcohol outlet- very cheap!! |

Staff was friendly and helpful. We have stayed there before and will stay again. The pool and hot tub were very pleasant. Rooms clean and comfortable. They have fridge/microwave which many hotels don't provide in rooms. |
