Hotel Duo

The Hotel Duo was a bit further out of Prague Centre than expected, but it only took about 10mins on the fantastic Metro from the station right across the road from the hotel. The rooms where pretty basic, but clean & warm. We found the hotel staff to be friendly & helpful. What we found disappointing, was that Tea/Coffee was only provided on the 1st night, which we found very mean as normally even lower class hotels/BB's usually replace them daily. The other downsides were that the price of the drinks in the Hotel were very expensive compared to most places. Beers were 60Kr, yet downstairs in the bowling alley, they were only 24Kr. One other drawback, was the number of Italian/Spanish school/college students, who seemed to take over the Bar area at night, and was extremely noisey. Overall, we enjoyed our 5nt stay at the Hotel.

Great value hotel with easy access to the Centre

Hotel Duo lived up to our expectations. The included breakfast was great, the room was tidy and spacious. I think we got upgraded to a suite as we had a separate lounge area. The bathroom had an unpleasant smell to it but to be honest when visiting Prague you wont spend much time in your room anyhow. Don't bother with the International restaurant, it's comparatively pricey and although the food and service are fine it just doesn't compare to what is on offer a 15 minute metro ride away. The addition of the Bowling alley and good size swimming pool are a great bonus, although we didn't find time to use them. All in all a great hotel to stay in, I'll stay there again if ever I return to Prague.

We enjoyed the Hotel Duo

The rooms were clean and a decent size, the facilities were very good, being able to use the pool and gym before 10:00 for free if your staying was a bonus, although a bit busy. The bar was a bit expensive (beer 60Kc), but there is a cheaper bar open between 11:00 and 21:00 set back near the bus stop where you could get a beer for 21Kc. The metro is really only a 5min walk, then 7 stops to the muzeum. Breakfast was pretty good with a decent choice, although you may get guided through to a different area if you get there a little late. I was on my crutches and the bar staff were great as they would give me bags of ice for the swelling caused by a long days walk. Overall I would certainly recommend the hotel and will definitely stay there again.

hotel Duo reasonably priced 3 star hotel.

Very convenient with new Metro station completed. Excellent breakfast, good value if you book online. Very easy to get to by Metro; just a few stops from train station. If you do take a taxi, watch out for crooked cab drivers; should cost about $25 from Nadrazi Holesovice train station.

comfortable and good value

great location. i think that it is a stretch to qualify it as a four star, more like a good three star. parking for euros 8 per day for way out of the city was relatively high (by comparison, Vienna city center in a covered garage under the hotel was euros 10.). the metro was just aross the street and the free shuttle to a shopping mall were great plusses. i would stay here again.
