Hotel Paris -
The Brandejs family has own the Hotel Pariz for many years and the great-grandson of the original owner presently runs it. Its unique style, beauty and excellent service have passed on through generations. Beside the Municipal House and just a couple blocks from the Old Town Square, the Hotel Pariz is located in the most historic area of Prague. Guests will enjoy access to many interesting historic sight, shops, galleries and restaurants within steps of the hotel. Next to the hotel are tram stops No. 5, 8, 14, right on the Square guests can also find the underground station, line B and the main bus station is not far away. Which therefore gives guests easy access to a wide variety of tourist areas in Prague. The hotel is only 30 minutes from the city airport. The Hotel Pariz was built in 1904 and in 1984 the hotel was declared a historical monument and so deservedly then became among one of the most remarkable sights in Prague. After the Velvet Revolution, in 1991, the government returned the hotel in the restitution process to its original hotelier, the Brandejs Family, who have been in the hotel business for over 150 years.Upon entering, guests will be submerged by the splendour of the Hotel Pariz. The stairway is probably one of the most elegant parts of the hotel. The preserved window panels, with its rosette and citrus motives are finally complemented by hand painting motifs. The decorative cast-iron railings lead to the hotel corridors, which are also an exquisite characteristic of Hotel Pariz. The hotel offers in total 86 luxury rooms including 9 junior suites and presidential apartment 'The Royal Tower Suite'. Air-conditioned rooms are equipped with direct dial phone with voice mail, internet connection, remote control satellite television with pay TV, mini bar, safe and smoke detector. Luxury full-size bathrooms with separate air-conditioning and heated floors are equipped with hairdryer, massage shower, bathrobe, cosmetic mirror and cosmetic set. Each room is attractively decorated and furnished with replicas of the original furniture, so no matter which room guests choose to stay in, they will have the feeling of returning to the picturesque Art Nouveau era. All rooms are provided with 24hour room service. Hotel Pariz offers a wide variety of services The Sarah Bernhardt Restaurant is the on site hotel restaurant and it is a masterpiece of architecture. It is named after Sarah Bernhardt, an actress and singer. The interior is classic Art Nouveau: blue cleft mosaic with original lighting fixtures, wooden wainscoting and gilded stuccowork. This makes the restaurant a pearl amongst its Prague rivals. The Sarah Bernhardt gourmet restaurant features outstanding French, Czech and international cuisine. Guests have the chose of dinning in smoking or non-smoking areas. For smaller conferences, business meetings or private parties, there are two elegant meeting rooms Salon Violet & Salon Petit, are the perfect solution. Both of them are located on the ground floor of the hotel, next to the Cafe de Paris. Both meeting rooms are fully carpeted & sound proof. Leisure travellers can take advantage of the Relax Club offering the comfort of sauna, relax room, massage shower, and professional Ayurveda massage upon request. More sport activities are available nearby the hotel. Additional services include laundry/ dry cleaning service, car rental, babysitting, supervised children's activities, two elevators, and multi-lingual staff on reception, concierge service, foreign exchange facility and garage parking. On request guests can receive adaptors, PC, a city guide and a pick up service.Whether a guests' stay in Prague is for business or pleasure, Pariz staff would be delighted to accommodate all guests. The goal of the Hotel Pariz is not only to meet guest's expectations but also to ensure a comfortable stay. It's undisputable that there is no other hotel in Prague that compares to the Hotel Pariz, and they can guarantee, guests will enjoy their stay.

Paris in Prague

Review by: Dorian , Brighton, United Kingdom

Stayed: Feb 2012

We would looking for something luxurious, without breaking the bank, for a romantic weekend away. This hotel suited us perfectly.

Although it's Art Deco and therefore not what you might think of as Czech, this style is very prevalent in Prague as the French have had a big influence. And it works well. It's grand and stylish, almost an attraction in it's own right with pieces of art lining every corridor.

The breakfast room is majestic and the Parisian cafe is also a popular tourist attraction, said to be one of the best cafe's in the city.

The hotel is located right on the edge of the main town. There's hardly a better spot in terms of walking or public transport.

Only the service lets it down a bit but good service is almost unheard of in Prague.
