Dann Carlton Quito is a 4 star hotel in
Quito.
The 8-year-old Dann Carlton is probably the only high-rise in all of Quito to have more brick than glass. It's not brash or flashy; rather, it looks like one of the subtly luxurious hotels built in the 1920s in the United States. The Dann Carlton bills itself as a boutique hotel because it offers all the charm and personal service that you'd find at a small hotel. The rooms are quite spacious and come with dark-wood furnishings, built-in closets, CD players, and subtle green, earthy tones. The marble bathrooms are sparkling. Only two floors currently have air-conditioning (so make your request at check-in), but the hotel will be adding this amenity floor by floor in the next 2 years. Rooms in back of the hotel have sumptuous views of the city, El Panecillo, Parque La Carolina, and the volcanoes. The location is a bit out of the way, but the neighborhood is nice and the huge Parque La Carolina is just outside the door. Guests get 30 minutes of free daily Internet use in the business center. Hotel facilities include: Restaurant; bar; exercise room; Jacuzzi; sauna; concierge; business center; salon; limited room service; massage; same-day dry cleaning; laundry service; nonsmoking floors
