This city hotel was fully renovated in 2009 and comprises 206 simple, tastefully designed rooms. The 6-storey building is fully air-conditioned and welcomes its guests into a lobby with 24-hour reception and check-out service and a hotel safe. On-site facilities include lift access, a games room, a café, a bar, a lounge and a games area. There is a restaurant on site and conference facilities are provided. Internet access is available and room and laundry services also feature at this establishment. This city hotel is situated in the heart of Reading, only 5 minutes from Reading train station. It is an ideal location for both business and leisure travellers, with nearby attractions including Lego Land and Windsor (both approximately 20 minutes away by car). London Heathrow Airport can be reached in around 30 minutes from the accommodation. The gym offers cardiovascular equipment and a free weights area and is available to guests for a fee. A Wii Station area and a full-sized American pool table are also available. A continental buffet breakfast is served in the main restaurant. Lunch and dinner à la carte menus and room service options are available. The lounge offers a cool cocktail bar. By car: Exit the M4 motorway at junction 11, take the exit from the roundabout onto the A33, signposted Reading. Continue straight ahead along the A33 towards Reading for about 10 minutes. Go down under a bridge then turn left at the car park signposted Garrard Street (the Yell building will be on the right-hand side). At the roundabout take the 3rd exit into Friar Street, turn immediately right onto Cheapside, which is signposted to the hotel. At the end of the road turn left and the hotel is immediately on the left-hand side.

Wow factor at Pentahotel Reading

Great location, great service, roomy and well appointed rooms with the biggest bed I have ever seen and all at budget hotel price. Arrived late but very quick and easy check in meant time for a couple of drinks at the bar. Expected top end hotel prices but more like town centre pub prices so welcome surprise. Back to large room with massive comfy bed to watch free movies. Lie in followed by leisurely full breakfast that was included in price, then a stroll 100 yds. into town centre. Recommend this hotel to anyone wishing to stay in or around Reading whether for business or pleasure.

Penta Hotel

Great breakfast, friendly staff. large bright rooms. might be a bit expensive but got excellent deal through skoosh.com. Good value for money at the price i got(€750..ish) for 5 adults over 3 nights b&b. Hotel slightly exceeded expectations and has a well stocked gym that wasn't advertised..to my knowledge
