We stayed here for a few nights in October, it was great, lovely and clean, helpful staff, we upgraded to the studio apartment and it was great, breakfast is not great, but they rarely are in any hotel, it was good value for money.

Location wise was perfect for us, it is on a quiet street but just a short walk from everywhere you want to go. There is a fantastic burger bar next door, Lebowski bar, the best burgers we have ever eaten! I would stay here again!

We have just returned from a fantastic four days in Iceland. The hotel was perfectly situated at the top of the town near to bars shops and restaurants. Just a few minutes walk into town. The hotel is situated opposite the magnificent church which u must visit during your stay. Transfers drop off and pick up at yr door.
The hotel was friendly and welcoming. There is no tea or coffee facilities in the room but in the reception was a drinks machine you could access 24hrs a day with various drinks, excellent. Rooms were small but adequate for what u need. A wardrobe, tv, and bed then a bathroom with plenty of hot water. Hair dryers are provided.
Breakfast was plentiful & fresh.
The staff were knowledgable, welcoming and always keen to help, nothing was any trouble and they'd take care of u. Highly recommend!

We recommend City Center Hotel Reykjavik to everybody.
Good staff, good bed, good breakfast, good hotel for everyone.
Very good value for money!
Skoosh gave good information on their webb site aboute City Center Hotel Reykjavik.

I have now stayed at this hotel four times in the last five years. I wouldnt consider staying at any other hotel in this city.
The location is slap bang in the middle of the city centre.
The rooms are finished to a high standard.
The hotel represents excellent value for money. The free wifi is an added bonus.

Big room, great receptionists, warm, clean, several restaurants nearby. About 30 mins walk from the centre, but all tour buses pick up from the hotel, so very convenient. Very good value for money, and would definitely recommend

We spent 4 days at the hotel and were very satisfied with the service. The hotel is not the nearest to the city centre though, so we were walking quite a bit those days (but we were very lucky with the weather and enjoyed the walks). The overall impression of Reykjavik as a tourist destination is that to be a remarkably organized place.

I stayed x2 nights in the Metropolitan. Hotel is slightly dated, while the rooms are basic they are very clean. They haven't tried to save money on the breakfast buffet which is good - a decent range of cereals, meat, cheese, bread and vegetables are available. The best thing about this hotel is its central location, only a five minute walk to downtown. Overall excellent value for money compared with staying in a hostel (which would cost about the same) and very highly recommended.

A word of warning, I asked the receptionist to call a taxi for me to take me to the domestic airport. Upon arrival the taxi driver did the old trick of turning the meter on a few minutes early, adding around 1000 kr to the bill. The taxi company were Hreyfill and I would strongly recommend avoiding them if you are travelling to Iceland.

Good breakfast,could be more tv channels sleep value was ok no noise from the street my room was in the back of the hotel.I will stay there next time i go to Reykjavik

We stayed for one night when there was a big street party in Reykjavik, and didn´t get any sleep at all. Would still recommend the hotel, but perhaps request a room facing away from the street, especially in weekends.

The hotel spa opening hours and treatment offers was limited during the holidays, very disapointing.

Very friendly and helpfull staff at the desk, did what they could to make my stay to be great!
Modern and attractive hotel.
Light, delicate and clean rooms, but quite small.

The hotel is located outside the city center, 8-10 min taxi drive to go down town.

The food served in the bar (made by the restaurant VOX) was some times awerage, some times lower.

My room (507) had a spectacular view of the harbor and glacier. Free internet access. Wonderful filling breakfast--they call it continental--I call it full buffet. Very helpful and friendly staff. Easy walking distance to everything you'd want to see. Airport bus drops and picks up at the door--as do all the tour buses. In a very expensive town, this was a real bargain. I'm staying there again on my next visit.

We stayed one night (Saturday). The hotel is in a retail area and nothing was open when we were there and therefore it was very quiet. Parking was available right outside the door. It may be more busy during the week. The room was surprisingly large. Comfortable bed and a small kitchenette with the makings for tea and coffee supplied. Decent breakfast buffet. Staff were quietly efficient. Recommended.

I would recommend it.
The breakfast was excellent and the location was wonderful. Right in the center where there were restaurants, stores and activity.
The room was comfortable, clean and modern althought the bathroom was small.
We had a very enjoyable time and would return.

I enjoyed my stay at the Grand. The hotel was beautiful, the rooms were clean, the views were great, and the breakfast had great long hours and the best variety I've seen in a very long time! The front desk staff was helpful and there was a grocery store about a five minutes walk away. I gave the hotel 4 out of 5 for location. I enjoyed the walk into town but in bad weather or for some, the 15 minute walk to the beginning of the center might be a bit far. That being said, it was nice and peaceful in the Grand where as some hotels closer in the center might not offer such quiet (or convenience of parking if needed). So it's a trade off. Also, the hotel is a bit high priced for my tastes, but Skoosh offered the best price by far!
