Renovated in 2004, this quiet and clean hotel comprises a total of 42 rooms, including 5 suites, spread over 4 floors. The hotel is air-conditioned and features a lobby with a 24-hour reception desk, a safe, and a lift. Room service and a bicycle storage room round off the facilities on offer. This hotel is located at the heart of the 'Eternal City' - Rome. Restaurants, bars, and pubs are located right by the hotel, and the nearest nightclub and shops are some 200 m. St. Peter's Basilica, the Castel Sant'Angelo, and the Vatican Museum are located about in the city centre about 300 m away. Piazza Navona is located around 800 m and Piazza di Spagna approximately 1 km from the hotel. The train station is around 3 km from the hotel. The hotel has its own roof-garden.

As of Jan 2011 Rome is introducing a new city tax to be paid by the guest to the hotel directly prior to their departure, excluding hostel and charged up to 10 nights. € 3.00 per person/per night for 5* and 4* hotels and € 2.00 per person/per night for 3*, 2* and 1* hotels.

the hotel rooms was clean and neat front desk staff very helpful...the hotel was not to far from the metro and the vaitican was about 3 or 4 blocks away...i would stay here again if i was to go to rome...its was a no frills hotel but just right for what we needed...the price i paid was just right..had a wonderful time in rome

I would certainly recommend this hotel to others. Yes the rooms may be a little small but once you get there you are willing to forget anything because of the great restaurant and bakery right across the street. No need to look, you will not find better prices or better food anywhere in Rome. About the hotel: some of the staff could be more friendly. One of the main reasons we picked this hotel was that they had internet but, wireless does not work on anywhere but the lobby. There is a solarium (a sun room of some kind) on the fourth floor and it is amazing. Just get your paninis from across the street and spend a nice afternoon there. Did I mention, it is only 3 blocks from Vatican. final conclusion: yes, our expectations were certainly met.

Clean, Simple, Comfortable

The Adriatic Hotel is located in close proximity to the Vatican and is about a 20-30min walk to every other major attraction in Rome: Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, Forum, Palatine, Jewish Ghetto, Pantheon, etc. It's also fairly close to the subway (about 5 min walk), so the location is pretty good. Certainly not the most convenient, but definitely close enough, especially for the price. At first glance, the hotel room itself seems small and very basic, but compared to other places we stayed, was much more clean, comfortable, new-ish looking (no holes in the bedspread; no dirty, rusty shower), and the bathroom was really big! Since you'll spend about 98% of your time outside of your hotel, you dont need much there anyway. So, for a place to fall asleep at night, the Adriatic is pretty good.

The hotel was in a good location for visiting Rome's attractions. It is close to bus, tram and metro line. The room was spotlessly clean and comfortable. Although advertised as being on a quiet street it was quite noisy with traffic from 6am. It was good value for money and as expected. I would recommend it to others, looking for an inexpensive base whilst in Rome.
