This is a superior tourist property with same comforts as a first class property. The hotel has a very good location. 0310 FR The hotel is located in the historical centre of Rome, at the back of Via del Tritone one of the shopping area in Rome and near to all major attractions such as Trevi Fountain and Spanish Steps. This is a traditional building. The lobby even if small in size, it is very functional and furnished in a pleasant style. It is equipped with a comfortable seating area with black leather sofas and respects the traditional style of the hotel. Rooms are different in size, the decors and the style are traditional. They are decorated in pastel colours that gives a comfortable and relaxing atmosphere. The decors are sober and nice.

As of Jan 2011 Rome is introducing a new city tax to be paid by the guest to the hotel directly prior to their departure, excluding hostel and charged up to 10 nights. € 3.00 per person/per night for 5* and 4* hotels and € 2.00 per person/per night for 3*, 2* and 1* hotels.

Great Location and Staff

Had a great stay at the De Petri. The staff was helpful and friendly. Actually less walking time to most major sights than we were lead to believe. Will stay here on future Rome visits.

Good hotel

This hotel is situated within walking distance to all major spots to visit in the city center - Spanish steps, Fontana Trevi, Pantheon, Piazza Nvona etc,. in a areat with little noise from traffic etc. It is situated in an old building with narrow corridors an with the smallest old lift we have experienced ever. But both our rooms were modern and fresh with nice bathroom and TV, minibar and safe (free of chrge) + air condition.. First night we spent in a very small room since they initially did not find the reservation from Skoosh,, but we wvere moved to av really large room (with a separate small lounge) the last 3 days. We really enjoyed it! Breakfast (continental) was good -served in the bakyard - nice indoor and outdoor facilities. Staff was friendly and nice - but their system for handling reservations was obviously totally outdated!

Pleasant experience. Excellent location. Just 5 minutes walk to Fontana Di Trevi and the Spanish Steps. Rooms were very clean. Service level was generally acceptable. Would recommend for those who prefer a quiter location within minutes from attractions.
