The hotel was in a good location and had been refurbished recently the rooms were very comfortable and the breakfasts were very good

Great Location, NASTY EMPLOYEES

1 of 1 people found the following review helpful — Fantastic location, safe, exceptional- 2 blocks from Termini Sta. Below Cavour direction is not safe, scary actually. However, the staff are extremely rude, hostile at every turn. They frown & scowl at check-in, talk down to you, negatively with insulting tones & expressions. They very aggressively let you know that each & every request is a huge bother. SImple requests like nearest metro or cash machine are met with unbelievable hostility, concerted rudeness & they are very short - even brushing you off with "over there" & pointing, refusing to answer specifically. Once, even gave me incorrect directions to a cash machine deliberately, lying about the proximity. It was quite farther than they said. Rooms fine, location great, clean. Even witnessed a major 5 minute screaming match by 2 employees in breakfastroom 3 Sept. 2008, reading once home someone else had same displeasure in August. Recommended only for Location, rooms.

We found the hotel to be clean and quiet. Even though we were on the second floor the outside noise wasn't bad. It was within close walking to good shopping and we felt safe walking in the area. I have stayed in many hotels in the city( well known American chains ) and we have grown tired of paying three to four hundred dollars a night. The continenal breakfast was sufficient. The front desk people were helpful with good local resturents and I will stay their again in the future.

1 of 1 people found the following review helpful — Being my first time in Europe my expectations were based on my experiences of Motel 6 to "W" in NY. I had reserved a single with a single bed which when I checked in the receptionist was a bit dubious. Well, thinking I've gotten a great deal for a little over 100 dollars, I didn't think much about the "single" situation. What I found was a closet size room with a very hard twin bed. The bathroom was a standing shower only and filled with two commodes barely any room to move. If all you're looking for is a room to sleep in and not spend a whole lot of time, then it's good but I found it a bit uncomfortable being a big person myself. It's definitely not an American standard. I have to say I've stayed in more comfortable Motel 6 rooms. The hotel itself is pleasant and the staff helpful once you've overcomed the lanugage barrier. I've been told that for a 4 star hotel in Rome, this is pretty standard.
