Hiberia Hotel -
With rooms overlooking the Roman Forum, the 3*Hiberia Hotel occupies an ideal position for all visitors to the Eternal City. Situated only a few steps from the Quirinale Palace, Trajan's Market and the famous "Wedding Cake" monument to Vittorio Emanuele, the hotel is just perfectly placed for visiting (on foot, of course!) all the city's major attractions, including the Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps, Pantheon, Piazza Navona and Campo de Fiori. The Hiberia hotel is one of the oldest 3-star hotels in Rome yet offers all modern comforts, including its own, locally-popular, Italian restaurant (which is also the setting for a hearty buffet breakfast). All tastefully furnished guestrooms offer private facilities (some with futuristic "power shower" cabins!), minibar, safe, satellite TV, direct dial phone and wireless internet connections. Staff at the Hiberia take special care to ensure guests make the most of their visit to Rome and are always on hand to assist with suggestions and reservations, making the Hiberia an excellent choice for guests not wishing to spend a fortune, yet still wanting to enjoy a personalised service in an excellent location. Great Service

Review by: M , San Benito, United States

It is what is expected the rooms are spacious, but warm. But the front desk quickly brought up fans to accomadate us. The hotel is a bit older, but very clean and comfortable. The location is Great, many things are in walking distance.

Hiberia Hotel Excellent Location!

Review by: A Rae Glasgow , Glasgow, United Kingdom

Stayed: Jan 2010

The Hiberia was very clean and very well placed in Rome I would recommend it as a basic clean standard Hotel. The room was small but it was fine. Would not like to go in the height of Summer as ther is no Air Conditioning. We had no problems with the lift but, it is a bit of a hike if you are on the third or fourth floor. I found it to be good value for money especially the cooked breakfast ! Just round the corner from one of the main bus routes to all the sights The Via Nazionale for the 64 and 40 bus routes and a half hours walk form Termini. Enjoy !

Great Location

Review by: Londoner , London, United Kingdom

Stayed: Dec 2009

Hiberia is very centrally located if you are planning to visit Rome for a few days of sight-seeing. All important places to see such as the Forum, Palantine Hill, Colosseum, Pantheon, Trevi Fountain and Spanish steps are within a 10-15 min walk. Rome Termini is around 15 mins by walk. The room we got we quite small. I had read reviews that Hiberia had slightly bigger rooms than similarly priced hotels in Rome, but we were disappointed with the size of the room. Also, the king bed was two single beds that had been kept next to each other - so not the most comfortable for a couple. The bathroom was very cramped. We did not take the breakfast option so can't comment on that. There is a cafe opposite to the hotel where we got breakfast for a fraction of what we would have paid at the hotel.

Decent price, great location

Review by: Joe I. , Lakewood, United States

Spent 4 nights here. Single room is rather small, but clean. Very quiet street at night. Staff are exceptionally helpful. Location is excellent for walking to sites of Ancient Rome (Forum, Colosseum), Fontana di Trevi and Trastevere. A bit of a hike, but manageable, to Vatican City. Variety of decent restaurants nearby, though not directly next to hotel.

hiberia hotel in rome great location

Review by: antonio , Laval, Canada

Stayed: Aug 2009

this hotel is a walk away from the trevi fountain, spanish steps, piazza del popolo as well as piazza navona. the location is fantastic. but i was not too impressed with the rooms. we asked for a quad room. two single beds were pushed together to make a double and then two single beds on each side of the room. tight is the best way to descibe the room. we weren't able to open up our suitcases at the same time because there wasn't enough room on the floor.
it is a good value for the price we paid because of where it's situated. the staff was very nice and polite. had some trouble with the a/c, just wasn't cool enough for us so they lent us a fan.
i would recommend it but try to ask for a larger room, especially if you're 4 people.
