The air-conditioned hotel was founded in 1963, in a historical building dating from the end of the 19th century. It bears the name of President John Fitzgerald Kennedy, to honour his memory. The hotel has a 3 lobby rooms with 24-hour reception and check-out services, which provide a place to read a nice book, relax on the comfortable sofas or listen to music. There is also a bar, where guests may taste an excellent coffee or whatever they wish to drink. Also at guests' disposal is a small international library where they could take a look at foreign books and city guides in many languages. Further facilities include a hotel safe, lift access, a TV lounge, breakfast/dining room and high-speed wireless Internet access (fees apply). The city hotel is located between the Termini Station and the Basilica of S. Maria Maggiore. Within a 5-minute walk of the hotel guests will find the Terme di Diocleziano, National Roman Museum, Opera House and Via Nazionale. The Colosseum and Roman Forum are just 10 minutes away from the hotel and the Quirinale, Spanish Steps and Trevi Fountain are within 15 minutes' walk. The main bus lines and underground are located in front of the Termini train station, 150 m from the hotel. Restaurants, bars and shops can be found on the hotel's doorstep. The city hotel is approximately 13 km from Ciampino Airport and around 23 km from Leonardo da Vinci International (Fiumicino) Airport. A continental breakfast buffet is served each morning. From Fiumicino Airport, take a taxi or Leonardo Express Train to Termini railway station. Exit on the side of Via Giolitti and take the parallel street, which is called Via Filippo Turati. The hotel is on the corner, by a park, at number 64.

As of Jan 2011 Rome is introducing a new city tax to be paid by the guest to the hotel directly prior to their departure, excluding hostel and charged up to 10 nights. € 3.00 per person/per night for 5* and 4* hotels and € 2.00 per person/per night for 3*, 2* and 1* hotels.

Ideal location close to Termini Station. Restaurants on same road are very good. Disappointed with breakfast, and windows don't block out noise from traffic during the night.

Hotel Kennedy - great location

The best thing about this hotel is the location. Very close to Termini Stn. Hotel doesn't have its own restaurant but there are some great little traditional trattorias on the same road. Breakfast was disappointing. You don't expect much from a Continential Breakfast, but the range on offer was not great. You are also cramped into a couple of small rooms when eating. Rooms are very nice, however you can hear the traffic all night! Reception workers are friendly and helpful and some speak good English. \|Would definitely go back to this hotel next time in Rome!

1 of 1 people found the following review helpful — The Hotel advertised air conditioning several times, but our room did not have it. The bathroom was not clean, blood stains were on the mirror & handle to flush the toilet. Plus our room had a bad odor. The staff was rude!
