The hotel is equipped with one conference room. The breakfast room, corridors and stairs have been recently renovated. 06/07 FR The hotel is located in the historical centre of the city, close to the Basilica Santa Maria Maggiore and the Opera House. Its central position allows guests to easily reach the most important attractions. This hotel has a traditional 19th-century facade. The lobby is small and modern, decorated in fresh pastel colours, and offers a warm welcome on arrival. There is a mahogany reception desk and marble flooring. The pleasant sitting area is medium in size, with red easy-chairs and small coffee tables. The rooms are medium in size and tastefully decorated furnished in a modern style, with light colours. The style is simple, but the rooms are well kept. The bedspread and curtains are red.

As of Jan 2011 Rome is introducing a new city tax to be paid by the guest to the hotel directly prior to their departure, excluding hostel and charged up to 10 nights. € 3.00 per person/per night for 5* and 4* hotels and € 2.00 per person/per night for 3*, 2* and 1* hotels.

Yes it was fine and just what we were looking for. It was near the terminal and gave us easy access to the Rome attractions. The staff were helpful and the accomodations were satisfactory. Breakfast was ok and presented well. It was a good value based on the other hotels in the area. Expectations were met

A little on the shabby side, but ...

3 of 3 people found the following review helpful — We stayed at the San Remo Hotel for two nights in November 2008. The hotel is right next to the Roma Termini train station which is handy is you're arriving by train or flying (the airport train leaves from here). It is also walking distance to many of Rome's major sights and if you want to travel further you can catch the metro. Don't stay here if you're after luxury. This is a decent hotel, but quite shabby (marks on the bathtub, old shower curtain, poor reception on the tv etc). I would recommend this hotel to people on a budget. It might not be pretty but it is good where it counts (comfy bed, free breakfast) Just don't use the internet in the lobby. It charges your creditcard each minute but takes painfully long time to load!
