It was good value for money, however, we were disappointed that as 2 straight women we had to share a bed! We would have had 100% satisfaction if we had been given a room with 2 beds in it. Our expectations were met and we will return to the hotel next time we are in S.F. The stff were very helpful with tour arrangements. Our room was cleaned daily and fresh towels were supplied. We walked to Chinatown, the shopping district, had nice meals in restaurants that were nearby. Our tours picked us up in front of the hotel and left us there at the end of the tours. We walked everywhere. There are 2 grocery stores on the at the end of the block as you turn left and go up the hill and we purchased water, fruit and snacks at reasonable prices. The internet works well.

I really liked the location of this hotel. The main reason I stayed there is because it was reasonably priced, and right at the gait to china town. We stayed there to celebrate chinese new year, and be within easy walking distance to everything in chinatown , plus be able to see the chinese new year parade. It was clean, and the staff was very nice to us. The building was old, with high ceilings, and the bathroom had a claw foot tub. I really liked this hotel and will stay there again. One little detail to take note of is that the parking is not included and you will have to pay an additional amount for a parking place- we parked in a nearby parking garage. It was a $22.00 charge for 24 hours, using a coupon from the hotel.
