Nice hotel, not a area to walk around...

Great hotel, helpful and nice staff, good restaurant. We got a big, clean an very nice room with a big fantastic bed. The hotel is very nice and the restaurant is very good. The staff was very helpfull. Good standard on this hotel. The hotel is in a nice location with a big and nice shopping mall just across the street, but we did'nt feel safe walking around here. There is a lot of homeless people standing and walking around in the strees right outside of the hotel bothering people and scaring people. Do not walk here alone! This kind of set the stay back, but it seems like it's a problem all over town.

Local, Easy Travels & Clean!

Great things: 1. Clean-Room, Bathroom, Floor, Elevator, Everything. 2. Close to...-Union Square, Market Street, a block from the Trolley system & 30 seconds away from BART their subway system. So easy to travel to from the Airport. Not So Great things: 1. Bed-Looked comfy, yet extremely firm. 2. Noise-We stayed on a Friday, Saturday & found they give you earplugs in your room for a reason. Union Square gets busy and is right below your hotel. Couldn't sleep without them. A Little of Both: 1. Amenities-No refrigerator in the room. Many guides and magazines. Coffee maker with coffee & tea complimentary, but if you tried to refill in the lobby they charged you :/ 2. Staff-Encountered 4 or 5 staff members & 2 Concierge. The staff was extremely courteous and friendly, while BOTH Concierge were rude & not very willingly helpful. Overall: a fairly pleasant, definitely easy, definitely clean stay.

Hotel Website Pictures are Deceiving

The pictures on the website do not do the hotel any justice. When we checked into our room we found a hairball on the carpet. There were dirty towels left behind in the bathroom from the previous guest. The carpets were old and dirty. We were abit disappointed because what you see on the website is not what you get. Aside from the negatives, the hotel is in a great location reasonably priced. Minutes from Union Square and right across from Westfield Mall.
