The Roosevelt has a phenomenal location. For only this reason and discounted price, I may consider to stay there again. Unfortuantely, I was disappointed in the lack of friendliness and less than average customer service. Given the description of the boutique hotel and staff, I anticipated a pleasant experience. This is what I had hoped for my family. Instead, I found the front desk staff to be distant and non caring -indifferent. They barely said anything at check in; no one worked the concierge desk as we were headed out for dinner and had questions; and when we returned, they completely ignored us -even when I was looking right at them and smiled. I travel for a living. This experience was truly odd. |

Quite honestly, this hotel was a disappointment. Nothing was wrong; however, everything about the hotel was dated. Fixtures and furniture were old (mattress, for example, was dated January 2001 on the tags). Looks like it hasn't been updated in 30 years. Room was VERY small. Overall, this would be a good value if the room was in the $65 range. At well over twice that rate, it's extremely overpriced. |

It was a very well located hotel and in good condition. The rooms were a little small, but its location made up for any shortcomings. The staff were friendly and very helpful with no request too difficult for them. |

Downtown location can't be beat. GREAT service from the front desk staff (kudos to Brook @ registration for being especially welcoming) and the wonderful valet staff who managed vehicle retrieval promptly and with a smile. Quaint and inviting lobby with grand piano and cozy fireplace. Surrounded by great shopping and restaurants within easy walking distance. Furnishings in the rooms are beginning to show some wear and tear and bathrooms are really cramped and small. Other than that - one of our favorite spots! |
