Reviews of Historic Pioneer Lodge Springdale

Review by: Patricia, Arlington, United States

Stayed: Jun 2009

Although the exterior of the Historic Pioneer Lodge looks like any standard motel, the interior of the rooms is very nice - plush bedding, very comfortable beds, nice carpeting, granite countertops in the bathroom area, etc. I'm not sure if it's new or has been recently renovated, but an effort has clearly been made to make the rooms fairly luxurious (if a bit on the small side). The bus stop to take you to the entrance to the park is a block away from the lodge - we never waited longer than five minutes for a bus. The restaurant attached to the Lodge, however, is not very good. We ate there our first night because the hotel gives you a 10% discount coupon, but there are many restaurants in Springdale that are much, much better. We recommend the Whiptail Grill - delicious and not expensive.
