Beach House Suites By The Don Cesar

I would recommend because of location and view. The bathrooms are clean, the shower is hot. The TV's worked.
We've been staying here since it opened. Back then we paid $60.00 a night. We price all the websites including joining the Lowe's preferred customer program. Skoosh has had the best prices for several consecutive stays. Our room this time had a fabulous view. It's starting to show wear. The dishwasher does nothing more than rinse. We use the pull out sofa every time we visit. Its become paper thin. For a hotel of this quality it really needs be replaced. Our door occasionally would not shut. It should shut behind us as we walk out with our hands full of toys and towels. The pool area is very nice, great bar, the bathrooms outside however need to be checked on more often, get nasty by the afternoon.

The location is wonderful, the price on SKOOSH was fabulous. Unfortunately the hotel needs some work. The rooms and especially the door handles throughout the common areas are really dirty. On the patio sat dirty plasticware. The pullout sofa mattress is in need of replacement, it sinks in the middle and has very little cushion left. The air conditioning works but it never got cold just cool. Good news the ceiling fans work quietly. The appliances in the kitchen work fine. The dishwasher is terribly old and we pretty much washed the dishes before using. The shower pressure is good and the water was hot, very hot. Pool area is nice, towels came out around 11AM though.
With just a few upgrades and a thorough cleaning it would be a great beach house.

The suites are spacious and clean. There is a bedroom, living room, fully-equipped kitchen, two TV's, and all suites have balconies that face out to the Gulf of Mexico. The staff is courteous and helpful. The pool is fine and has kids play toys. The poolside chaise lounges are padded, and there is a poolside bar for drinks. Umbrellas are around the pool if you want to get out of the sun. Shuffleboard and ping-pong are available. You are on a beach directly on the Gulf of Mexico, so you have it all here. The Undertow Bar is right next door if you want to go to a lively place with excellent bar food at reasonable prices (including a great breakfast). Otherwise, you have to walk or drive at least half a mile to the next nearest restaurant (not counting the Don Cesar which is about a quarter mile away).

Expectations were exceeded. The room was spacious (we stayed in the deluxe suite) and the view was great. It was a good value compared to the main Don Cesar hotel, and you get to use all the same amenities. I will definitely stay at this hotel again.

I would recommend strongly for people to go to the Don Cesar Beach House. It was clean, services were top rate. People were friendly and very helpful. The grounds were clean. The rooms were clean. I liked having the kitchen and a washer and drier in the room. The only draw back, there is a $22.50 daily charge that was added on after I arrived. This was additional charge that I did not expect to pay. This charge was not included in the skoosh charge.
