Location The hotel is centrally located near to various attractions in Toronto, such as the Four Seasons Performing Arts Centre, the CN Tower, the Harborfront and the Toronto Islands. A subterranean walkway leads to over 1, 000 shops. The hotel is just 10 minutes from the Canada Life Building. Facilities This air-conditioned city hotel was refurbished in 2007 and comprises a total of 600 rooms spread over 32 floors. Facilities include a 24-hour reception and check-out service, a hotel safe, currency exchange service, lift access, kiosk and hairdressing salon. The hotel offers award-winning cuisine in its restaurants, as well as candlelit bar. Meeting rooms with wireless Internet access are available. Room and laundry services are provided and there is a car park and garage for guests arriving by car. The executive rooms and suites offer executive lounge access. Rooms The beautifully decorated rooms feature either 1 king-size or 2 double beds and offer views of the city. Each room includes a Hilton alarm clock radio with MP3 connection, a desk and two-line telephones with voicemail. High-speed Internet access is available for a fee (rates for 24-hour use). Further facilities include a hairdryer, satellite/cable TV, minibar, tea/coffee maker, ironing set and a safe. The well-appointed bathroom features floor-to-ceiling marble and an extra deep bathtub, as well as Crabtree and Evelyn La Source bath amenities. The air conditioning and heating are both individually and centrally adjustable. Disability-friendly rooms are also available. Sports/Entertainment Guests can relax in the sauna or at the poolside snack bar. There are sun loungers, a hot tub, solarium and a gym available. There is an outdoor and indoor swimming pool, the latter of which is open year round. Meals Guests can enjoy the cuisine at the Barristers bar or in Ruth's Chris Steakhouse. The award-winning Canadian cuisine at the TUNDRA bar and restaurant also comes highly recommended. Payment American Express, Diners Club, JCB, MasterCard and VISA are accepted as methods of payment in the hotel.

Great staff at Hilton Toronto

The staff at downtown Hilton Toronto was wonderful. Room was large & well-arranged. Ditto the bathroom. Housekeepers did a great job. Room even had a petite blue (recycling) bin! One block from metro stop. Across the street from the Opera house. Airport Express bus stop is 1 block away, at the Sheraton. Regular rate would have been way too high. Skoosh rate was great. No problems of any kind using Skoosh pre-payment voucher.

Had a great view of Toronto; good location for business and touring. Unfortunately, we had to deal with some construction noises..from 8 am until 6 PM most days. Decent value, although I hated having to purchase internet access from the business office. Would recommend it to others.

The hotel was ok, but nothing special. I did ask the front desk to leave a phone number for a friend who was supposed to call while I was out. The staff member typed it into the computer. My friend asked for a phone number and the hotel actually told her I did not leave a phone number. When I checked back, the front desk said no one called. Disappointing to be misled like that.

The room was modern but not very sophisticated for a 4 star hotel. The service was terrible! When I arrived they couldn't find my name in their computer even though I had pre-paid with skoosh. I gave some person from the back-office all my receipts, vouchers, etc. and it took 1/2 hour until I was able to check-in. Then, even though I had booked with breakfast they claimed that my breakfast was not covered and made a big deal out of it. Again, I had to give them all the papers, they disappeared with them in a back-office, and 2 days later (I stayed 4 nights) I hear breakfast is definitely not included. Also, in the first night there were 2 fire alarms in the middle of the night. Once around 3:30 am the second around 4:15pm. Very loud alarms and scary moments. The hotel didn't bother to give their customers a free breakfast or anything else. I would give this hotel 3 stars. It's clean, very good location, but not classy and clearly the customer is not important to them. I won't stay there again.
