I stayed at the Strathcona on business in November 2008 and it was in a fabulous location in the heart of the financial district. The rooms are quite small and the amenities standard but the bang for your buck is great. The reception staff even printed some documents for me free of charge and gave me a late checkout at 1 pm. The hotel, although not a luxury hotel, was very good value for the room rate paid.

This is a good hotel in a great location in the downtown business district. It is close to the subway and train station. The room is satisfactory, but don't expect it to be very big. But it is clean. The bed is rather hard and the walls are thin, so this might be an issue during busy seasons. The staff is also not very friendly. But for ther price, this hotel is more than enough. I use this hotel all the time when I am in town for business. I have been back 3 times, so I would return for the same type of trip in the future.

The hotel was nice, and if you got a newly renovated room it would have been nice.
The location was awsome, and very centeral
We defintily got what we paid for.
I was expecting 2 queen sized beds and got two twins instead.

We would definitely recommend to others. The hotel has suburb service. The rooms are nice, not huge though. The location is the best. You are a 5 minute walk from great restaurants, shopping and sporting events.
